Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

We used to treat our cat to a thing called licky licky. A rich gravy treat thing, she loved it, but the reaction. Gurgles, wafting stench and a splat. Had we found a way to harness her reaction, the problem of efficiently attaining escape velocity would have been solved forever.

Some smells never leave the nostril, even five years on.

I must control myself better. Even at my age (58), I still fall in the trap of eating too much and too often of something I really like and then I get sick of it and then it takes months (sometimes more) before I can eat any of it again!!!

I can almost identify with this. I can eat something until I’m sick of it, but still want it the next day.

Except southern comfort.

I don't know. I am talking of getting really sick of something, to the point where you can't even stand the smell or the mere thought of it!!!

Trying to decide how to progress my story now that my characters have arrived at the Space Center with the sky falling apart around them

Sounds like you’re writing something. If I were you, I’d resolve one major plot point/question, and introduce five new ones.

You have a point!:D

In truth, it's sort of the Ludovico method, the one shown in the movie "Clockwork Orange", where they show you the things you like the most continually until the mere thought of them makes you sick (to the point of making you kill yourself if you can't make them stop!). A soft Ludovico method I'd say...
