Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

@fireproof78 no need to apologize for anything.

On a much lighter note I was in a discussion about the 80s and I wondered if I can indulge all of you, if you could go back to the 80s and bring back with you one favourite toy or amusement, and one item of technology what would it be?

I'd bring back all my old tabletop games, the ones with VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) screens, I had a few of them and they were lots of fun if a bit noisy, and for technology I'd bring back my hifi VHS with a few tapes.

Talk and Play. It was a little story book toy which used 4 tracks on a cassette tape to create an interactive story experience.

I in general miss the old arcades and malls of the 80s.

If you're willing to pay and have the space, Aracde1Up makes cabinets. Best Buy, Target and Walmart will randomly have sales. Get the ones that come with risers (a box for the cabinet to sit on top of). Their original cabinets didn't have them and are short without them. A few have even had sit-down versions like Cruis'n USA and Star Wars.

There's little hard specks on my mattress sheet that aren't bugs or eggs. Any idea what they could be? Boogers? Skin? Eye crud? Something from my cat?

Could be mold/mildew. Could also be poop from fleas, aphids or bed bugs. In any case, WASH everything in hot and vacuum, too. Might want to invest in new bedding.

That's neat but over here quite pricey..... There is MyArcade which is smaller tabletop versions of machines like that and you can get handhelds with classics like Pacman and Galaxians on them.

I have what looks like a tin of mints but you open it up and inside is a fully working Tetris handheld, quite neat and lots of fun
