Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

10 days now with memory tests and Lions Mane, nothing extraordinary to report.
I'm doing a series of 35 visual puzzles/problems to solve each day and i still don't
remember more than how the first one looks before i start. But i do the whole series much quicker of course
as i remember more and more of what i did the last time when i look at them, but that's to be expected.
Also i don't really expect any real result before 4 to 6 weeks, if this works.

i'll be back...
I'm looking forward to hearing how this goes. My grandmother and aunt both died with severe dementia so I'm terrified of it.

@cosmicmouse thanks for sharing! I stopped smoking 25+ years ago and have been working on the "eat right and exercise" part for a bit over a year.

My paternal grandmother and both parents had dementia, so I'm looking forward to always meeting new people, going to new places, everything on TV will be first run, hiding my own Easter eggs, and buying/wrapping my own Christmas presents and then being truly surprised when I open them.

(Sometimes you have to do the best with the hand you're dealt. My greatest fear is the polar ice caps melting so I can't simply go out on an ice flow like the Eskimo elders did.)

Sweet dreams are made of cheese....who am I to diss a Brie? I Cheddar the world and the Feta cheese. Everybody's looking for Stilton.

Sargento or Kraft are missing a Gouda marketing campaign if they don't contract w/ Annie Lennox to tweak those lyrics ASAP.

One of them needs to pick up the cheese-ball and run with it. ;)

I will not go off on a rant about how horrible the dairy industry is, I will not go off on a rant about how horrible the dairy industry is, I will not go off on rant about how horrible the dairy industry is.

Anyone here browse the sites on the Gizmodo network? There's a lot less content these days (although calling it content is generous since the majority of "articles" are just aggregating news from other sites), but there's also a lot more slideshows. Here's a list of 20 things and you'll have to click 21 times to see it all. As soon as I see that it's a slideshow, I stop and go back.

I used to love Io9 and go on there all the time, but after a while I seemed to be seeing less and less interestig article, and I haven't been on their in months now.
It's amazing how much longer the day feels when your 1+ mile morning walk is cut short, and you don't go on a 2.5ish hour bike ride. It was rainy and wet today, so I pretty much spent the majority of the day hiding in the house.

I have a saucer tray underneath my bird feeder to catch all the discarded seed since birds are messy eaters. It was raining so I turned the tray over and there was a tiny slug underneath. I didn't think anything of it, but a few minutes later the slug was gone. Since we know how slow they are, I have to assume that I turned that slug into bird food.

what will happen if you take the ram/cylinder part of a hydraulic press
and try to squeeze it with the compressive force from another identical hydraulic press??

For the first time my mother is asking me for help with a major purchase, which I consider a victory over Boomers everywhere.

Basically due to wrist issues she can’t easily clear snow off her car anymore so needs to buy a covered parking space in the carport to avoid moving. I will get reimbursed when the house eventually gets sold at some point in the future.

I keep getting an alert on my tablet that an app or process is overloading it's CPU, but I checked and I've got plenty of storage and memory. I also cleared out my storage and my memory just to be sure. Anyone know what could be causing this?

i dont think it got anything to do with memory or storage, the cpu can get overloaded regardless,
i'm not sure if you got a Task Manager on your device, but if you do you can access information about
what app using the most of the cpu. i tried just now to find a taskmanager on my phone but i couldnt.
If you got a "home button" on your device (i dont) you can hold it for a second or two and a taskmanager
should open ...according to the internet.
