Late but had to agree about bright headlights, they may need regulation soon. I have driven since the 70s and never needed lights that bright to avoid obstacles.
The annoying/worst offenders that have appeared out here in Oahu are the guys who replace their fog lights with amber LEDs. Not that it’s bad per se (fog lights should be amber to help with details in fog), but the fog lights end up being ridiculously brighter than even their LED headlights.
Then, of course, you have to add unnecessary ‘extra width’ lights, rock lights, LED bars and spotlights in all colors, and plaster the rear windshield with some silly slogan like ‘Uncivilized’ …
Not to mention - it doesn’t get foggy on Oahu.

Night driving on the freeway. So much rain the windshield wipers have to be set at max. Not a lot of light posts. No need to speed or constantly change lanes, I'll just follow the semis that got into the freeway ahead of me. The semis were the speed demons out there!!!! Left me behind.
That would be dope if someone did a new animation, and you throw in some reaction shots. I just realised though all the shots I'm thinking of would be from Star Trek II when Saavik takes the conn, like McCoy asking Kirk if he wants a tranquiliser, so it might unfortunately be taken the wrong way.Complete with the big scrape along the side?
That scene in GQ is just perfect. I'd love Trek to actually do that, call it an homage
Contractor never showed up. Do I need to call to cancel or should I just expect him to never show up since he blew off today? There was no contract or money exchanged or anything.

2022 had a perfect symmetry to it. Jan 1 was on a Saturday, and December 31 is also on a Saturday
But... there's nothing inherently special about 2022 in that regard. In non-leap years, there are 365 days in the year, so Jan 1 is always on the same day of the week as Dec 31 in those years.
I know. I just have never paid attention to things like that as much as this year, it's been a very up and down year for me with more dips then highs.
Part of me feels like Captain Janeway about to ram Voyager into the timeship…

The beach house and my dad’s car got flooded due to a combination of king tides, high winds and torrential rain. Furthermore, my bedroom looks like an episode of Hoarders and I’ve been up all night working on it, and my anxiety seems to have gotten the better of me. It’s 5:32 AM… at least I don’t have work this morning.
