We finally made it to the hotel on the east coast. It took forever to get here, sometimes at 5 mph because of all the people evacuating. I'm really worried about my house because the hurricane came a little farther east. The hotel I picked wasn't in the possible track of the storm when I booked it but now it is.
Liking not because your circumstances sound great, but as a show of support. Stay safe, and I hope everything works out for you and your mom.
Yikes, good luck. My aunt, uncle, and cousin are in Fort Myers, which is apparently right where Ian came to shore.
While I was out on my bike ride this morning, I went past a house that was for sale, and one of the realtors on the For Sale sign was named Jim Jones. I'm sorry, but if that was me, I would have changed my name, or at least I would not go by Jim.
My mom's been keeping an eye on Facebook, but she hasn't said anything about whether or not they've posted since before Ian hit.
We're okay. Haven't been outside or seen any news but it sounded like we were right in the path of the storm. Luckily the hotel has a generator so we at least had one light and ac.
Saw footage of this on the news and it looks terrifying. Hope all of you are managing.. Is there any info on how many people have been displaced, damage estimates yet?
