What makes it so nice?
I'm taking my mom to the hospital at 4 in the morning. She's getting her first of 2 hip replacement surgeries. I was already worried about the surgery but now I have to worry about a hurricane too. I didn't need that.

Thanks everybody. Unfortunately after we got to the hospital and had been there a couple of hours the surgeon canceled the surgery. It was for something minor but my mom has been in a great deal of pain and now it gets put off another week.
I was also relieved that she would be in the hospital while the hurricane blew past and now she won't be there. We live a block from a creek and the house has flooded before.

I hope so too. My mom can't walk at all because of her hips and she can't even sit in the car for very long.

No. She can't even sleep in bed anymore. She sleeps in one of those chair lift recliners.
Damn! Poor Mom. I hope the storm passes you quickly.
Thank you. I decided that we need to get out of here just in case. I booked a hotel room on the east coast of Florida, Hopefully we'll be high and dry there.

We finally made it to the hotel on the east coast. It took forever to get here, sometimes at 5 mph because of all the people evacuating. I'm really worried about my house because the hurricane came a little farther east. The hotel I picked wasn't in the possible track of the storm when I booked it but now it is.
