Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

What does #ASMR mean? I keep seeing people use it on the 'gram and I can't figure out what the hell it means.

I'm going into surgery for a total knee replacement (right knee) tomorrow at 10 am Arizona time. Thoughts, prayers, general niceness are appreciated. I probably won't be on here for a few days. Take care of yourselves and each other. :)
Sending my belated well-wishes as well... here's a  to a speedy recovery.

ASMR (barring some urban dictionary meaning I probably don't want to know anyway.)

OK, that would make sense, since a lot of the videos I've seen with that # are involving sound.

I've been thinking about asking the horseback riders I've posted about if they're on Instgram, but I'm not sure if it would be weird since we're not real good friends. Most of the people I follow on there are people I've never met before, so it's not like it's something that I only do with friends, but I've never really asked someone if I can follow them like that. I'm just not sure if trying to follow them would be crossing some kind of a line into being weird or creepy.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone! Surgery went well. @auntiehill I won't be kicking anything for awhile! But my pain is a wee bit less everyday.

They actually joked in the pre-surgery class that we won't get superpowers. :guffaw:

Terrific hospital & staff. I'm getting help at home from a friend's 20 year old. I have a PT evaluation tomorrow. Another friend sent (really good!) food over. Plus, I have kitty support.

Not weird. Just say you want to show everyone how pretty their horses are.

Glad it went well.:techman:

I've got another for you guys.
There's a woman I follow on Instagram, who I've never met in person, but lives about 20 minutes away, and posts a lot of videos and pictures from a park that we go to sometimes. If we go out there, and I see her, would it be inappropriate for me to go to her and say hi.
We've talked back on forth in the comments on her posts, so she is aware of me and knows I'm one of her followers on there.

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I have social anxiety, and coming on here, and commenting back and forth with people on Instagram, are the closest I've come to socializing outside of family or work since I was in school. There are some days I don't interact with anyone in person besides my mom. And to be honest, the first time I commented on an Instagram post, I was terrified of kind of response it would get. Luckily, everyone who's responded to my comments has been really nice.

Anyone here have a Facebook account? Are you getting a lot of weight loss spam via accounts that haven't been touched in a while getting hacked, posting the spam and then tagging someone you know which makes it appear on your timeline?

How long have "prayer warriors" been a thing? I never heard the term until anti-vaxxers started ending up in hospitals and their friends and families were calling for prayer warriors. Talk about an extremely useless and unsuccessful group of warriors. Unless the true purpose of prayer warriors is to set up the Go Fund Me for the funerals.

A prayer warrior, at least the actual usage of the term, associated with the act of being willing, to the point of discomfort, to call upon God (Jesus, Mary, etc) to intercede on someone else's behalf, and to remain praying until an action has been taken, has been around for at least several generations. I had partaken in a number of such things when I was a kid back in the 1980s.
