Maximum overdrive. What does that even mean? Is there a minimum overdrive? Or an underdrive even?
I could google it, but search engines have really taken the fun out prolonged random pondering.
prolonged random pondering.
But the real kicker is Part III. Marty goes back to 1885, meets his great-great-grandparents, Seamus and Maggie McFly. Yes, McFly, suggesting they are his great-great-parents on his father's side. Yet, while Seamus looks like Marty, Maggie looks like Lorraine! Makes me think that Marty's parents, George and Lorraine, probably were cousins.
Or maybe McFly men are just attracted to women who look like Lea Thompson.
srsly, I wouldn't read too much into it. They just wanted to rehash the scene in the first film when Marty wakes up in 1955. And of course they wouldn't do that with any actress but Lea.
Fan theory popping up while I re-watched the BttF trilogy this week: The McFly family is all about incest.
Now, the obvious example, teenage Lorraine having the hots for Marty, has been referrenced and made fun of for ages. Thing is, when she kisses him and says, trying to describe it, it's like kissing her brother, that sort of suggests she kissed her brother.
Judging on the size of the town, I'd wouldn't be surprised that half of Hill Valley's inhabitants were fourth or fifth cousins by 1985...

show us your artI started my first ever excursion into paint by numbers today and found out two really cool things. One - it is very relaxing; two - it is really easy to fix the screwups that are inevitable.
I just want to say a BIG thank you. To all the people who work in stores. They are putting themselves out there so we can all have food and supplies.
