Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

So I’m at O’Hare and I see two teenagers walking a dog...which poops on the floor. :wtf:
But I mean, what else was it supposed to do? It had to go, right? I'd hope the owner did retrieve it to dispose of somehow though

Somehow I think our sensibilities about airports haven't, in general, evolved with the times as much as they should. It's really not like the old days of luxury or elegance, that use to be air travel, where people would be dressed up in suits & drinking highbrow cocktails etc...

Frankly, I'm at a point now where I consider an airport like a generic low grade public space, like a park or something. The fact that it's indoors & looks reminiscent of a mall is irrelevant. It is not an optimal space anymore. People are dressed for comfort in yoga pants & house slippers, like they're in their homes. (Which is probably for the best given the security check requirements anyhow) Nobody is particularly enjoying the experience in any way. Hell, military service members will straight up sleep on the floor, because basically they can sleep anywhere lol

Is what that dog did any worse than the fact that pigeons literally LIVE in there now, wandering around, living off eating garbage, & pooping god knows where? That's the air travel reality now, & I only see it becoming more so.

They know they got us now. What else are we going to do, take a train? So the experience will just become less & less accommodating imho

And I'm thinking. . . . . .
How much would the "Six Million Dollar Man" cost these days, if they wanted to "rebuild him" ?

Adjusting for inflation from the 70s, probably about 30 million, but from a sci-fi concept, much of the tech doesn't even exist. So it's conceivable to just say 6 billion to sound cool lol

Technically speaking we're not even there yet. We could be in a couple of decades though, not a superman but at least a man capable of moving normally with a whole set of artificial limbs, is definitely something I could see happening in about twenty years or so.

I hope he doesn't have to wear bell bottoms like Lee Majors

My lunch came to $6.66 and on the way home, I passed by a motorcycle accident.
I think I'm speaking for all of us here when I tell you that this was clearly your fault.

every now and then while watching DS9, they have this delicious humming sound from the station...

I especially noticed this yesterday while watching "by inferno's light",
at 17:50minutes there are some 10 seconds of this lovely sound

i just noticed it again in "Doctor Bashir, I Presume"
so started googling around to see if anyone else had ... did they tho!
very fast i located a 12HOUR video of this humming, lol...i can sleep to this.

^ yeah, i think the loop are even smaller. I found even better stuff at TrekCore =)
DS9 "infermary" and DS9 "Opps" are good ambience,
(the DS9 "Promenade" would be a little tiring after 12 hours)

That's an interesting find.
i downloaded the "infermary"mp3 and just for fun i downloaded the Demo version of FL Studio which are free,
i had no idea what to to with it but i manage to import the loop into FL,
i open up something called FLEX in FL as i had read a little about it while downloading.
I didnt know what to do but i randomly pressed "j" and "o" and "L" on my laptop
and it sounded insane with that DS9infermary in the background lol.... the FLEX was default in some dystopian sound setting.
I dont have time for diving into that world but it was fun=)

Have you ever noticed how people, when they are lying to your face, will use your name over and over again? Unless you're a parent, yelling after a 3 year old, there's no reason to keep saying the person's name, especially if you've know each for any length of time.

No one talks like that in a normal conversation. It's condescending and downright creepy. I've had salespeople do this and my oldest sister, the alcoholic/drug addict, who is always trying to manipulate people.

All it does is piss me off to no end and not trust anything they say. Why do people keep doing this?

Well, it's been a long time since someone I know has lied to me. Not to brag but I usually find out about it pretty fast. Lies tend to lack coherence and consistency and lead to contradictions. The only thing that stands the test of time is the truth.
