Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

My great great grandfather always wore a Top-Hat, and i just found out why!!!

Because most men wore top-hats back then?
Hehe.. no =) it's a good guess, but if i just told you now, you wouldnt believe me...
so i probably need to upload some pictures or something
You see..
Parts of my family lived in America several generations ago.
My great great grandfather always wore a Top-Hat, on every picture, in every written story about him,
whether he was outside or indoors, always a Top Hat...

Just now i was going through some old cabinet-cards my ant gave me some years back,
and... in one of the picture there is a shot of him without the Top Hat!!!

but it turns out he was an Andorian... i was a little shocked

But if you use a magnifying glass, maybe you'll see if it was added later or if it's part of the (initial) picture.
^ no the pictures are originals from somewhere between 1860's and 1880's i guess. They are like thick cardboard, im holding them in my hand... nothing are added :)
edit: the photopaper that are on the card are very thin and glossy, no traces of any "paintover"

Well, then, maybe it was a style of hair back then, like the mohawk for the punks.;)
