Sure. It's probably still way more efficient on a scale outside of our comprehension. Ambient energy isn't necessarily a bad thing, and a room that generates usable wireless energy in the ether but is otherwise harmless to humans and anything else would have a ton of benefits, like how a television or radio fills a room full of signals/images/light/waves that does nothing physically harmful to us, but we still learn or be entertained from the room being flooded with those emissions.
