Anyone one using FB tonight? Is it me or is it just 100% FUCKED!
It won't work at all. I actually am trying to update my status, but it won't fucking let me. It either just does nothing at all, or comes up with some bullshit era message.
The Chat function is also screwed to death. You try write something and it just say "sending message..." for yonks, and then after 50 years says "could not send message at this time" or some crap.

It's been acting up a lot for the past week, but tonight it seems overly buggered.

Actually yes, surfing through mind numbing games out of boredom . And yes it is incredibly fucked. Have to click on things 2 or 3 times before it works.

LOL and what would you're status update of been? That you're throwing a tantrum??? I mean seriously, there has GOT to be some other more important things besides this to get riled about.

Besides Facebook is too intrusive and it's a plague that I hope we find an antibiotic for. By the way my status is gassy right now...figured you might want to know.

For the Kanye thing- my friends' statuses were pretty quiet about it last night... but they blew up this morning. I guess no one realized what happened until after the fact.

For the error thing, I've been getting it as well. It's been having issues liking posts, posting things, sending messages, commenting, and the home page displays funny everytime I go there until I refresh it. However, how many of you are using the Fan Check app? I guess it's been causing some issues with walls and things of that sort (leading to a mildly amusing virus rumor to start running rampant). I removed it, but I haven't done enough on FB tonight to notice if it's helped or not.

Fortunately, Snopes.com shot down the Fan Check thing, and there are a few signs that it isn't a virus or anything that would cause harm to your machine. First, it doesn't download anything to your computer, it only adds an app to Facebook. It might screw up things of Facebook if there's conflicting coding, but it doesn't come anywhere near anything that will effect you or your machine. Second, the status you posted talks about infecting all of your friends, and another one I saw talks about how the tagged photos of the Fan Check list can be used to infect those people. This is again an issue of having no real effect on machines, and almost all of these reports about Facebook and Myspace that talk about bad things happening to your friends end up being false. So there's nothing really there to worry about.

What's really dangerous is the new "anti-virus" programs that are popping up claiming they are designed to make the Fan Check Virus go away. Those are usually loaded with real viruses and are designed to cash in on people not knowing any better.

I had the cure for cancer and was going to share it with the world via Facebook, but it wouldn't let me and I was so annoyed now I'm not gonna share it with anyone. So now millions must suffer due to their incompetence.

I think worse than the every-little-thing updater is the woe-is-me-pity-party person. This one girl I knew back in HS constantly posts things like "Nice to know nobody cares" and "...loves being ignored and treated like no one. thanks." I mean, that sucks that she's sad and apparently being treated badly by those around her, but this is like a daily thing. It's like....find some new friends, man.

I dated someone and i swear all he did was update Facebook, work, update Facebook, go to school, update Facebook, and sleep. ALL of them of course are about pity, or food.

I use Facebook to bitch about things because it makes me feel better and I don't care if no one cares. I also use it to post quotes I like, news stories and info I think people need, like my cat dieing, the frost last night.

However if anyone here places Farm Town on Facebook send me a message here, I need two more friends for the game.

Does that mean you are going to delete me? I made a post earlier in the week about being ignored. But I was referring to the managers at the office who insist on flushing money down the toilet because they can't be bothered to manage or train their staff. I guess I use Facebook to be passive aggressive.

Woe is me! I feel like being ignored! Seriously, I don't even bother with co-workers, old classmates, and distant relatives. The less people know about me and my whereabouts and activities, the better. I do enjoy looking at someone's profile, which is publicly visible. I know where he graduated from college, his birthday and age, his hometown. I've even zoomed in on a picture of his crotch while he was at the beach.

Check out the official forum, as there is a thread on getting more friends for Farm Town. I thought about it, but I'm sticking with 10 friends at the moment.

My new addiction on facebook is Space Wars. Need more friends for that.
