quick Furnace question

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I have a mobile home with a furnace that says it has an automatic pilot light. The thing turned on overnight!

But then it started getting cold here! Brrr! I put ten gallons of oil in the tank and it (appears that I have about an eighth of tank. I should be getting more soon. But the furnace won't blow out warm air. If I turn on the blower it will blow out cold air. So it works in that it is getting power.

Please help me figure out what's wrong!

Thanks

You said oil.. So i'm guessing you mean fuel oil is what you use to heat your home. You'll need to see where the pick up in for your tank. 1/8 maybe right at or below the feed. Also i dunno where you live but the cold weather basically "gels" the stuff.
If putting in the 10gal pushed it over the feed tube you may need to re-prime the pump. Can you hear the pump running at all?

Does the unit give you an error at all? My furnace has an auto light as well. It uses a little "ceramic tang" like thing that gets white hot to light the burner(gas) in my home. When the tang failed a few years ago. My furnace gave me an error light.. (flashes so many based on problem).

Thanks for answering. I do use heating oil. How do I reprime the pump? is that mean pushing the square red button. Sometimes a little green light flashes above the red button. Is that the error light?
