Question about Trip's death

just odd how riker acted like barclay in the thing.
:rommie:
using the holodeck numerous times to role play not only in the midst of a crisis
but one were he was in charge of the search for pegasus isnt exaclty rikers style.

and the maccos were there in season four.
plus in the thing itself.

^ You're a brave man ... or woman.

I didn't hate Trip, but he's not my favorite character. Yeah, Reed. I wish he did more; he's a fun character.

I did like scenes with Trip and Reed sharing television time -- I thought they had a lot of chemistry. Not in a gay way (although I suppose one could go there), but rather it was enjoyable when they shared the stage. In my mind watching Archer and T'Pol, Archer and Phlox, T'Pol and Phlox and Trip and Reed were the best chemistry available on the show Enterprise. When these combinations shared the stage, I noticed I was more riveted.

Trip was always better when he played off Malcolm. They had the closest thing to a Geordi-Data or Spock-McCoy friendship on the show and it kinda sucked they never did enough episodes where it was just the two of them fending for themselves in an emergency or uncomfortable situation.

Definetly agree Shuttlepod one Showing the Begining of Trip & Malcolm's friendship.Great storytelling in that show.I wish we'd seen more of their friendship in the series.

Cooleddie, good point about a Geordi/Data friendship. I enjoyed that Malcolm and Trip both got into trouble frequently -- Shuttlepod One, Future Tense and especially Two Days, Two Nights where they were looking for babes.

I think the one thing Trip/Malcolm had was a real buddy friendship -- what I think of as a typical guy friendship (being a girl, this is just a guess on my part). I doubt Geordi and Data went bar hopping on the prowl, drank beers together or guffawed over women together.

I had always hoped that had ENT made it to seven seasons that Malcolm and Trip would have been fused at the hip and best of friends by the end. They could even have had one or two storylines where Archer worried about how close he still was to Trip seeing how he spent so much more time palling around with Malcolm than he did with the Captain.

I totally agree wish they had more eps with Malcolm and Trip; felt bad that its like Malcolm got sidelined. I mean the scnees that Malcolm and Trip had together were fun to watch.

And for Archers closeness with Trip it sometime showed but even when he lost his sister its like Malcom was there for him more then Archer and you would think he would have said something; instead was Malcolm there for him.

I suppose you could always chalk Archer's increasing distance up to the Xindi crisis and all the pressures and pain associated with that mission. Even the closest of family and friends can find a wedge between them if there is extenuating pressure from an outside crisis of some kind.

Well Archer must have known that Trip was having late nights since he made some comment when him, trip and Tpol were looking at something. I guess you always wish if they start off with the buddy friendships they would stick to them. I mean I like Trip and Tpol they are cute when they are flirting and stuff; but you always wish they would have him hang out with Malcolm or Archer. But Archer was busy being captain and at times putting other things before the crew.

Oops hope not getting off topic know we are talking about Trips death (which again I can watch it and makes me cry that they did that to such a good character)!

"Shuttlepod One": THE best Trip-Malcolm storyline or plotline ever.

Actually it was the only one. And it was only good because Reed had a big part. The other guy should have been Travis.

Trip should NEVER have been part of Star Trek.

Ever.

Well, I don't know about brave (but thanks), but I do know that I'm definately not a woman.

Last I looked, anyway.

I agree about Reed. He was definately a fun character, and far more likeable than Trip. Reed would certainly be more apprachable in a real life situation.

I like Trip so don't condemn me! But never understood its like where was security? You would think intruders came on board Reed would have been there in no time!

And guess if anyone would have bought it would have been Reed not Trip! Reed would make more sense.

TMO!

I always thought it was weird there were was no security around to prevent the pirates from boarding the Enterprise.Another reason this finale was such a mess.

Either the 1701-D holodeck had one shitty-ass program chock full of inaccuracies, or Archer's Enterprise must have downsized and laid people off prior to her decommissioning.

And someone explain to me the com system; I mean Trip didn't walk far and was xplaining what he was doing but couldn't they tell this was a desperate man and this still would have given enough time for Reed and security to show up I mean where was security all this time takeing a break?
