question about Abrams trek series

I was wondering if there's going to be any mention in the new Trek movies about V'ger and the Whale Probe. both are uneffected by the new continuity. So with that in mind is there going to be a movie about these or is it more likely that their only going to get a mere mention and go on with the movie.

V'ger already cropped up in the Nero comic. Nero supposedly met V'ger just prior to Spock's return.

Border of the beta quadrant, iirc. And, erm, how Narada survived was... less than believable. V'ger couldnt assimilate Nero's hatred, you see. So it merged with Nero and calculated the coordinates of Spock's return.

That was when IDW's Trek comics jumped the shark. There aren't enough smilies in the universe.

I would imagine only Abrams, his writers and producers would be able to answer that. But I see no reason why they'd include those elements in the film.
