Quark and the Dabo Girls' Deleted Scene from Insurrection

I’m seriously trying to understand how that would be the case.
Well, the movie was mediocre, to say the least.

But if Quark would have showed up in a scene, it would at last have been some minutes of fun in it.

maybe not.
But just seeing Quark makes the movie a little bit better, doesn't it. :techman:

I suppose I might have chuckled a bit. But I think I'd be wondering why he's there even more. Because it's such an out-of-place scene, even for a movie as bad as Insurrection.

Not really, no...it would be a non sequitur in a film that was unremarkable. So, we remark on the part that doesn't fit?

Yeah, it would be a big headscratcher.

While this was a pretty bad scene and would have felt utterly out of place, in retrospect, I kinda wish it was there, as it would have been the ONLY time in history that a DS9 character appeared in live-action outside their own series. And that, my friends, is damn near criminal.

edited to add: Oh, wait, i forgot "Firstborn." But still.....

I didn't know about this scene, but it looks like it would have been awful, unfunny, and as others have noted illogical. More importantly, I believe it would have made the film even worse. Why could it not be an extra, though.

I don't know about that.

While I agree that almost any scene with Quark is fun (except for the really atrociously written ones perhaps) it still would've stood out like a sore thumb, since there was simply no good or plausible reason whatsoever for him to be there in the first place.

Well, to be fair, there wasn't for Worf, either, logically speaking, but at least it would feel less that way as he did once belong to the TNG crew, and also they made a joke about it, i.e. Worf trying to explain but not even getting the chance because he was cut off.

Bashir was in TNG. Quark was in TNG and VOY.

I don't know what's wrong with me. I know about those appearances.

I guess I'm just annoyed that DS9 characters had no presence in the TNG film series nor in the modern Paramount Plus series, whereas Voyager got two character cameos in the films and Seven of Nine and even Tuvok appearing in "Picard."

I assume Crewman6 meant in live action, which was their original point in regards to movie appearances.

Some stories just end. No follow up.
