Quantum of Solace.

I went to see QoS and I did see the Trek trailer.

The utter gayness this trailer portends for the movie is astounding.

But, whatever..."wait and see" and all that jazz.

Wow, one could figure you could use more constructive criticism then that...

Oh its so GAY...

People who see the movie early and catch the trailer, do report! I'd like to hear the opinions of this board about it.

I'm planning on catching QoS on Saturday, but I don't wanna wait. *taps foot*

I thought the trailer was awesome. After seeing the trailer, I now understand what the "Putting more Star Wars into Star Trek" means now. From what I've seen, this movie should really kick *ss.

And, I think I can picture William Shatner in the place of Chris Pine and I think I'll be happy :) Being a Star Trek movie, the original characters are too iconic to be "replaced."

Also, {spoilers! (for those who haven't seen it yet)}

who is young Kirk talking to at the beginning? I couldn't make it out who answered him.

I just got back from the theater. The new Bond movie kicks ass. The trailer had me smiling like a kid that got the red bicycle he wanted for Christmas. This film will not disappoint.

I was very sad to see that classic Corvette Sting Ray go over that cliff, though... :( It had better have just been an ordinary RWD car with an old Vette's body or the Horsepower freak in me will be quite upset...

no one is talking about the new Watchmen trailer. any comments on it?

Well, for one, this is a Star Trek XI forum. Why would we discuss it? :)

I wasn't even sure what Watchmen is. I was so intune in seeing Star Trek I didn't care too much about the other trailers, although a couple of them looked good.

I think it means it was awesome and sexy and he can't wait for more of it... you know, just like me!:techman: (Otherwise I'll have to be offended.:cardie:)

No one reacted to the "Watchmen" trailer in the screening that I saw.

I think the new "Watchmen" trailer is the least interesting so far in terms of tone and energy. It's the "set up the story" trailer to try to engage people who haven't been following the project and don't know the comic.

I imagine that we'll get one like that for "Star Trek" a couple of months before the movie's release.

I take it that it doesn't keep with the book.

Most Bond movies don't, in fact the majority of them simply take titles and some character names and throw out the rest. Sometimes, that's a good thing. When Fleming's books were good, they were really good. But when they weren't, then they truly sucked. A number of them sucked.

Be that as it may, the Casino Royale film does stick more closely than expected during the second half of it. But certain things are left as a mystery, to be followed up on in QoS. It would help to see Casino Royale first, so you can get in line with what they're doing with the character. It's a different 007 than before.

Well, no Trek trailer at the cinema here in Santa Cruz, CA. I'm bummed.

The Bond flick was good; I enjoyed it, for the most part. Completely forgettable theme song sure to join the list of five or six least memorable Bond themes of all time, but the movie had some nice action; I enjoyed the final fight sequence. I wasn't really involved the way I can be with some Bond flicks, though; it needed a tad more wit. Still, all in all, probably give it a B which is a good grade.

No trailer, though. :(
