Picard: Yes, Ensign, it’s all over me.

 

[Admiral Shran]

SONYA: At least let me, sir.

 

[Vanyel]

Picard: Ensign, uh, Ensign…?

 

[Admiral Shran]

SONYA: Oh, Ensign Sonya Gomez.

 

[Vanyel]

LaForge: Ensign Gomez is a recent Academy Graduate, Captain. She just transferred over at Starbase 173.

 

[Admiral Shran]

PICARD: Is that so? Well, Ensign Sonya Gomez, I think it will be simpler if I simply change my uniform.

 

[Vanyel]

LaForge: Captain, I must accept full responsibility for this.

 

[Admiral Shran]

PICARD: Yes, Chief Engineer. I think I understand.

 

[Vanyel]

Gomez: I just want to say, sir, that I’m very excited about this assignment and I promise to serve you and my ship…your ship…this ship, to the best of my ability.

 

[Admiral Shran]

PICARD: Yes, Ensign, I'm sure that you will. Carry on.

(Picard leaves.)

 

[Vanyel]

Gomez: Oh, my. First impressions right? Isn’t that what they say? First impressions are the most important?

 

[Admiral Shran]

LAFORGE: I'll give you this. It's a meeting the Captain won't soon forget.

 

[Vanyel]

[Admiral Shran]

[Turbolift]

PICARD: Deck nine. Officers' quarters.

 

[Vanyel]

(continuing)
He enters the turbo lift, exits it, and finds himself aboard a shuttle.
Picard: Crewman, what is going on?

Q: Welcome Picard to shuttlecraft 6.

 

[Admiral Shran]

Q: Welcome, Picard, to shuttlecraft six.

 

[Vanyel]

Picard: Q.

 

[Admiral Shran]

Q: There, there, haven't we been careless. A little cleaning service I'm only too happy to provide.

(A wave of the hand and the uniform is clean again.)
