"Q Who?" Line by Line

Hello and Welcome!

We've recently finished our "Bread and Circuses" Line by Line in the TOS Forum!

After each completed thread, I, or more typically, the originator of these line by lines, CoveTom, will randomly pick someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was Vanyel! And Vanyel has chosen "Q Who?" as our next line-by-line adventure!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

As before, at the conclusion of this thread, we will pick someone at random from among all the participants to choose the next episode we do.

Enjoy!

Engineering aboard the Enterprise-D

Sonya Gomez: (to replicator) Hot Chocolate, please.

Gomez: Well, since it’s listed as “intelligent circuitry,” why not? After all working with so much artificial intelligence can be dehumanizing, right? So why not combat that tendency with a little simple courtesy? (The relpicator signals that it has done it tasks.) Ah. Thank you.

Gomez: Oh I do tend to have a bit of a motor mouth especially when I’m excited, and you don’t know how exciting it is to have gotten this assignment.

^ finishing....

SONYA: Everyone in class, I mean everyone, wants the Enterprise. I mean, it would have been all right to spend some time on Reiner Six doing phase work with anti-matter. That's my specialty.

LAFORGE: I know. That's why you got this assignment.

^^^actually, no.
An officer interupts Gomez and hands LaForge a PADD and says:
Officer: Excuse me Lieutenant.
Then what you wrote

Something similiar happened to me back with Far Beyond the Stars - before I starting using the transcripts. A line of dialogue is clearly in the subtitles, but not the transcripts. Weird.

Gomez: Oh, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t even have this in engineering. It’s just we were talking. I forgot I had it in my hand. Ummm, I’m going to go finish it over here. Lieutenant LaForge this is not going to happen again.
She turns to leave engineering and bumps into Picard and spills her hot chocolate on him.
Gomez: Oh, no! I’m sorry, oh Captain.
