Yes I love it because it was a great Star Trek series that was different and went from strength to strength rather than rehashing starship adventure stories.

Yes. It had original characters. It was different, it had a stationary space station as its focal point rather than a moving starship.

Yes, I like it, I admit I wasn't that fond of it at the beginning, but it grew on me over time.

Yeah, DS9 is alright. It's not my favorite, but it's got good moments

Not a DS9 Fan. In fact I only like TOS and TAS. TNG is over-rated. Enterprise started out ok but went off the deep end.

I saw this thread over in TNG. I wanted to answer but I was too confused. Now that it's here, I'm simply my normal dim-witted self.

Yeah, DS9 is OK. Not my favorite Trek but not bad. Now that the DVDs are reasonably priced, I might pick up the set. There are many episodes I've never seen.

My favorite second Trek is TNG. Now that gives me an idea for a thread.

I was a Star Trek fan back in the early 70's when it was syndicated. While TOS was great, I really liked the spinoffs. DS9 was the most like the original in terms setting 20th century morality plays in the far future. Over time, DS9 has become my favorite entry in the Trek universe, although TOS still holds a special place in my heart.

I like it. It had the least annoying, most interesting cast of all the spin-offs and it did what I'd want a Trek spin-off to do: burrow into the politics and culture of the Federation and it's neighbors.

anyway yes I love DS9...it was different and entertaining. I think it expanded the universe of Trek and took it into new and interesting directions that TNG was afraid to go. Sometimes I think it is the best of all 5.
