Pulp Fiction (SPOILERS)

Dream

I finally saw this movie after all these years. It was very entertaining and see why it has become so popular. The dialogue is great and made the characters very colorful. These characters made me realize how much useless stuff people usually talked to each other about in real life. The movie was also wonderfully over the top.

I didn't realize it was going to be told in a non-linear way so I was very surprised while watching it. Things like the hitman dressed in dorky clothes near the start of the movie were explained later on. There were many cool scenes like that. The technique probably made the movie better than it would have been if it hadn't been there. The cast was awesome especially Samuel L Jackson as Jules (Bad Mother Fucker!) and Christopher Walken in a cameo role.

My favorite sequence was probably Butch running over Marsellus and his escape from the freaks in the pawnshop. I was shocked and laughing during the entire thing. It was a treat to see Bruce Willis with a katana.

I'd say there's not a person on the face of the Earth who does not like Pulp Fiction.

Congrats on finally discovering it. :techman:

Now... SAY WHAT AGAIN!

It's my favourate Tarantino film (and current #2 in my all time favourate films). Because of this film, I went out and bought Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Killing Zoe and Four Rooms, and also made me sneak in to Kill Bill (which was an 18, and I think I was 17 at the time).

I think now I own almost everything done by Tarantino, even the CSI episodes he directed.

I only recently discovered this film too, and I loved it!
A think my favourite line was " this has been without a doubt the single weirdest fucking day of my life!"

Did you like the movie?

Everything! Honestly, I love this film so much. I think the Bruce Willis storyline is my least favourite, though. I love the Bonnie Situation, and I adore Vincent and Mia Wallace at the diner. I love Jules getting all righteous vengeance on their asses. Honestly, I love this film.

I throught it was really cool how the movie used the three different titles to seperate the three different stories. That made it feel like a novel.

Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption are my favorite movies so I hate that Forest Gump beat the both of them to get Best Picture that year. Gump is the worse of the three.

I didn't like the film back in the day. It was hyped up a lot and by the time I saw it I was like "that's it?" A movie that brought Travolta back! Ick.

I liked the Bruce Willis segment, even if it turns into redneck-bashing (what is with Tarantino and rednecks?) homophobic bullshit.

I wanted Tim Roth and his chick to die. Fuck criminals robbing people who just wanted to eat breakfast.

At any rate it's still better than 90's mega hits like Jurassic Park or Armageddon. I prefer KILL BILL movies out of Tarantino's directorial efforts.

Plus, strange as it may sound, Harvey Keitel will always be Gene Hunt to me now. :)

Harvey Kitel like Christopher Walken did a great job making cameo role that he had in the movie very memorable. It's just so funny seeing Vincent and Jules be freaking out like little kids while Wolf camly tells them what to do. I guess it makes sense that fixers like Wolf work for the mob.

I can't see how it's offensive. I mean it's so damn over the top and hard to take seriously! Why hell did those guys tie up Butch and Wallace? Who cares? They are written to be even more evil than our main characters in Pulp Fiction. You have to admit that it was badass how Butch used the Japanese sword to depatch the guy.

Didn't The Bride also kill the hell out of some rednecks in Kill Bill in a funny scene?
