PSN Cards coming this month...

Umm... hrm... there's the Pixel Junk games, Flower, maybe Shatter. I guess the unfortunate thing is that PSN doesn't do demos, so you really don't know.

There are demos, just not on all games, which is down to the game devs if they produce one or not.....I bought shatter and I'm loving it, brilliant game, I'm just waiting for Bomberman ultra to be released here in the UK/UE and I'm as sound as a pound.

£20 card for £15.95

I have already pre-ordered one of these cards from zavvi and it said dispatch date was the 18 of this month, quite good deals as well, £15.95 for a £20 card, brilliant.

Well, the only games with demos are the multiplatform releases - and that's because on XBLA, demos are required.

I'm sort of of two minds on the demo thing - they take time and money to develop, but of course, sometimes you just want to try a game before you buy one. What can ya do?

Thought of one...
Wipeout HD...
Liked the previous versions...
Plenty of add-on stuff to buy though...
Burnout, Rock Band...

Wipeout HD is fantastic, particularly if you get the Fury expansion (which is only 10 bucks). For 30 bucks total, you get a fair bit for your money. The only downside is that (IMO) the soundtrack isn't that good, but it supports the custom soundtrack, so even that's not a biggie.

I get all my downloadable games from the US store, but this will be great for getting DLC. I can finally get all those Valkyria Chronicles add-ons. :D Anyway, I pre-ordered a £50 card last week.

When it comes to downloadable games, Wipeout HD (and the Fury add-on) totally kicks ass.

Some of those are multiplatform and are disc based titles.
And then some of them the demos came long after the game launched on the store.

There's no day-and-date demo policy. Some do a demo, many devs don't.

That's one thing I dislike about the PSN Store, there's no section or easy way to select demos... so you have to hunt around to find them.

It's not that much trouble really. If you get stuck, just use the A-Z to find the game you're looking for.

As for PSN recommendations, I'd definitely agree that Wipeout HD and the Fury expansion are well worth the cash. Also would say The Lasy Guy, Super Stardust HD, and the ridiculously titled Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars are great fun too.

Got my 50 pound UK PSN card yesterday. I got the Valkyria Chronicles DLC, Prince of Persia Epilogue, and the LittleBigPlanet Metal Gear Solid DLC. ;)

So yeah, now I can finally buy stuff from both the US and the UK PSN store.
