If I already have a 360 and a blu-ray player is there any reason to get a PS3?

There doesn't seem to be any must have games I can't get for the 360.

What games are there that are worth shelling out on the console for?

Well as I said in the other thread, "must have" is in the eye of the beholder, what was a great game for me, can be a "meh" game for others. (Resistance 1 & 2 are the examples I cite).

That being said, Infamous was the one game that made me happy to be a PS3 owner and I don't think I've heard much of anything but positive comments about it. But is it alone worth buying a PS3 for? Probably not, but when you couple with some of these other games like Ratchet & Clank, you begin to realize there really are some pretty good games out there.

I don't know where in the world you're buying your Sony products but I sure haven't had that experience. I can't think of a single Sony product that I've ever had to fail.

Those are what I would consider must buys. I actually own all the ones that are already out on that list, and I love them. I have GT5 Prologue as well but your prob best waiting for the full game, as it has over 1000 cars and something insane like 80+ tracks and all that youtube integration stuff, the features impressed me a lot and I aint a massive racing game fan....mainly play them when friends come round. I'm going to buy that without a doubt.

I have fallen for the hype and just ordered a new slim PS3, traded in my PS3 60gig and a pile of oldish 360 games, grand total i will have to pay is £0.

Also, most PS3 bundels are €299, So you also get 1 or 2 free games with it...
Not so with the 360 Elite...

I guess MS will soon counter that.. i expect the Elite version to drop somewhere between 200 and 250 as opposed to the 300 of the PS3.

Still.. the PS3 now is a real viable alternative because of the BR drive. Too bad that the 360 still has more games that interest me so a 360 is still top priority but now i won't rule out a PS3 to have a combo console/BR player (i hear the BR drive is quite good)
