Okay..I made that up..but they do kind of look the same....
I like the stories how, I think I got this right, where they flipped the Klingon bridge set upside down and it was that Gropler dude's office on TNG's Encounter at Farpoint...

There's a bust of a helmeted head that appears in three episodes. It can be seen in Dr. Adams' office in "Dagger of the Mind", in Marla McGivers' quarters in "Space Seed", and then in Spock's quarters in "Amok Time".
Here's the explanation: after Adams died, a lot of his personal artifacts went up for auction on the Enterprise. Marla McGivers liked the helmet and bought it. After she was sent into exile with Khan, she had no need of such decorative items on a harsh planet where survival equipment would be priority. Spock saw the helmet statue as she was cleaning out her cabin, thought it was cool, and asked her for it. Sure, McGivers said, I'm only gonna throw it out anyway. So Spock took it for his own quarters, and that's the story of the odyssey of this sculpture.

I just figured it was the 23rd Century equivalent of that big painting of the wave crashing on the rocks. Everyone has one.

In a REAL obscure reference, I vaguely remember that they reused a type-II TOS phaser pistol as a component in one of Dr. Shrinker's shrinking machines. Don't know if it was one of the originals or a replica, but it really stands out in my mind even to this day.
How many times have I watched all of those episodes.... and never once noticed that statue?

There was a device that Spock supposedly designed... can't remember the name of it. I think it might be called the Trident Scanner. You saw it in a few episodes, like in Metamorphosis (Spock was using it on the aft section of the shuttlecraft) or during a few scenes in the main engine room in several episodes, like The Ultimate Computer and The Doomsday Machine.
Anyway, this device was reused in a manner of speaking. The 3 "prongs" of the device were cannibalized and used for some sonic disruptor weapons in A Taste of Armageddon.
It even made a reappearance in DS9: Trials and Tribble-ations
