Prodigy's Fate Sealed?

I was always skeptical that Paramount would let anyone else independently produce any Star Trek. Studios tend to be protective of their ips. I am not much of a fan of newer Trek but I enjoyed Prodigy for what it was.

As far as Star Trek animation went, I liked it far more than Lower Decks (which, I get that people really like but I didn’t.) and even shorter Treks which I didn’t care for either. I still think TAS is the best show they have made in animated form, despite its flaws.

TAS is really good. I've been watching it. Taking my time and trying to enjoy each episode.

No malding! Just cope and seethe!
I want ST to flourish like it did in the 90's and a glimmer from the KT.

Totally agree. The 80s to early 2000s were a good time for Trek. Berman did a out job keeping Canon pretty consistent. He acknowledge the original show and the way it looked. The berman era had the look of the original trek in its canon. Today it looks like we'll be getting a re film of the original after snw because theyll want to update it basically making the old visual Canon non Canon.

There are ups-and-downs in all three television eras of Star Trek. People might disagree with me about what the specific ups and downs are in each of those eras, but I think most can agree with my basic point.

It's like music or movies or anything else. There are ups-and-downs in every era. It's not as black-and-white as "all of it's great!" or "all of it sucks!" I expect I'll feel that way about any post-Kurtzman Era of Star Trek as well. Some of it I'll like, some of it I won't, and I'll tune out what I don't. Just like always.

EDITED TO ADD: And of all the New Trek series, Prodigy is the only one where people who gave it a chance haven't had a single bad thing to say about it. From what I've seen. That's pretty rare, especially these days, and says a lot about Prodigy.

I know what you mean.
We are moving forward properly with ACA but they are still holding the chain to classics by adding The Doctor in the show.
KT was a great fresh start that fizzled out, I want a TNG style restructuring, honor the old but bring about a new aesthetic.

Maybe ask Amazon if they would be interested in making a S3?
They won't, rumor is Netflix got badly burned by DSC international syndication, so Paramount offloaded PICARD onto Amazon, and then they got burned bad.
Netflix obviously would fight to keep PRO on longer, but we can guess the internal viewership numbers must have been abysmal for them not just to pass on an S3 but letting both S1 and S2 fizzle away.
