Probe from "Rejoined"

I know this is probably futile, but I was wondering if anyone here who was part of the Deep Space Nine production staff, like @Rick Sternbach or Michael Okuda, might know what was used to build the probe that was used in the episode "Rejoined?" Here are some screencaps:

It doesn't look like any probe I've ever seen; it looks more like a small ship. I'd love to know what it was made from.

According to Ex Astris Scientia, the model first appeared in "If Wishes Were Horses" in the first season, then again in "Meridian" in season three, before finally in "Rejoined". The website has no information on who in the art department designed it unfortunately. Richard Delgado and Robert Legato were also key members of DS9's art department when the probe would have been first designed if that helps.

Yep, I just looked at Trekcore, and they are all definitely the same model:

It's just that its closeup in "Rejoined" was the best view of the model (and thanks for pointing out its use in "If Wishes Were Horses;" I wasn't aware it was used that early.)

I don't have Ricardo Delgado's contact info, and I did have Legato's at one time when I asked him about the models he used for the original Wolf 359 battle that was ultimately not used. But I don't remember his email, so I was hoping other people who post here might know

Its definitely a great looking model. Maybe the folks at Eaglemoss like Ben Robinson have looked into it?

Maybe, but I doubt it. They haven't even gotten the Mars Defense Perimeter drone, much less this even more obscure probe.

I found an old interview on the BBC with Dan Curry. I'm not sure which probe model he is talking about though.

This is a Class 4 probe from The Enterprise of Next Generation era. And, in reality, it's a ping-pong ball glued on a deodorant bottle with little bits to enhance it. And this was used in a number of shows as a little probe sent in to investigate outer space phenomena.

I found an old interview on the BBC with Dan Curry. I'm not sure which probe model he is talking about though.

Surely the one marked as class 1 and 2 on ex-astris, as it's the one with a little sphere on one end.
