2. Spock sneaking in Kirk's cabin to give him a mind-meld after the death of Edith Keeler... "Forget."
Yes Edith should have been in the Nexus with Kirk.
... The Nexus granted people their fondest wishes, so that's why Picard ended up at a Christmas party with a family he never had.
What about Ruth from "Shore Leave?" He appeared to have some deep feelings for her.Yes Edith should have been in the Nexus with Kirk.
I'd say either her or Carol Marcus (Bibi Besch didn't pass away until 1996). Those two are the only ones that I can see Kirk really wanting to make a life with.Yes Edith should have been in the Nexus with Kirk.
I think it was more that Carol didn't want a life with him. She impressed me as a very independent woman who doesn't need a man in her life.I'd say either her or Carol Marcus (Bibi Besch didn't pass away until 1996). True. But that wouldn't necessarily stop Kirk from wishing that things were different.I think it was more that Carol didn't want a life with him. She impressed me as a very independent woman who doesn't need a man in her life.
There was a scene a bit similar to that in the Peter David-written, Robert Greenberger-edited Star Trek #53 from DC Comics in the 80s. Spock beamed an extremely drunk Kirk and Scotty back to the Enterprise after an apparently-eventful shore leave.I would have liked to have seen a scene where Kirk leaves the Enterprise with his command crew, finds a bar and the entire gang gets wrecked...
Yes Edith should have been in the Nexus with Kirk.
