Incidentally, although it seems that Prison Break: The Final Break will be Direct to DVD in the USA, the UK's Sky One is airing it on Wednesday night. Strange and stranger still, given that the rest of this season aired first on Thursday, then on Tuesday nights, after the mid-season break.

The Final Break is already listed on Netflix! (and already rated at three stars and change - people are so judgmental! :rommie:)

I was pretty pissed (but not terribly surprised) when his nose started bleeding and it became obvious that he was going to die. I believe I used a few colorful metaphors directed at the producers of the show.

I agree that it's a gutsy move, but it's a gutsy move that lacks any real compelling reason except to be a bummer for the audience. On a show like this, having a happy ending after all the misery these people have been through would probably have been more surprising.

It's like '24.' Ending that show on a down-note with Jack dying (as one of the producers have suggested before) wouldn't shock me at all, because after all the depressing stuff that's happened to the man over the years it's what you'd expect. If you want to shock the hell out of me, have Jack marry Agent Red and then have them ride off into the sunset with Kim on some ponies singing 'I'm Walking on Sunshine' or something.

I thought it was a poignant ending, at least as far as Michael...very sad,but think about it:the man who has aplan for everything (including his life with his family)couldn't make that last one work...

Regarding the 24 suggestion...it would be the PERFECT tagline, to bring it full circle: "My name is Jack Bauer, and today is the last day of my life..."
With the end seen being Jack dying in Aaron Pierce's arms...

Then there's simply wanting a character you've followed for the last four years to have a happy ending.
