Elizabeth, nee Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, was an Ex-Queen (as the widow of King George VI) and Queen-Mother (as the mother of Queen Elizabeth II). Since, unlike her daughter, she never was a ruling monarch but only married to one, she was Queen Elizabeth, too, but without an index in Roman numbers.

Uncle Rogi presumably just wanted to save time and words by contracting Queen/Ex-Queen/Queen Mom to (Ex)Queen Mother. A faux pas pardonable by the fact that he's no subject of a constitutional monarchy, I'd say. After all, there's usually an amnesty when there's a royal wedding![]()
