Preferred animation style for new TAS

I'd prefer character designs and animation akin to that in Avatar: The Last Airbender or even Wolverine & The X-Men, but I'm almost certain we'll get something more like Teen Titans Go.

I really hope not. That style is horribly infantile and IMO an insult to any skilled pro animator required to use it.

Whatever style they are using on Lower Decks it’s something that takes a long time to do. While production on that series started before the Picard series, it will be shown afterwards.

That's not uncommon. It can often take about a year to complete one episode of an animated series. That's why they need large teams of artists.

Gimme Rick and Morty animation style, with same style of acting and storytelling and I'll be hooked. If they spend too much on animating at expense of the story, then it will be a failure.

But at the same time, the visuals are extremely important in an animated series. If it's unpleasant to look at, it's less likely to attract an audience.

And the most ironic mirror to the classic animated series imaginable.

no ugly cheap Clone Wars Style 3D-Animation
Clone Wars looked amazing.

Rebels though ugh what a downgrade.

I am not a fan of the look of Star Wars Clone Wars, too. I just think humans look weird animated when they try to go too much for realism and Clone Wars does it. Avatar The Last Airbender looks in my opinion way better, although it is a cute look and might only be something for the kids Star Trek series and not Lower Decks. I also like the look of the Simpsons more than Clone Wars to be honest. Also Futurama. Something like that might be nice for Lower Decks. Just not something like Family Guys though. That series looks ugly like hell. I think it is the look of the characters which bothers me. I only saw bits of the show here and there while changing channels and because it is so utterly ugly I never kept watching.

I can see Simpons Style for Kids Trek...but I would love a modernized more detailed version of the 80s/90s cartoon style (The Real Ghostbusters, 1. and 2. Season) for Lower Decks. Or similar to the style for the proposed "Star Trek: Final Frontier": https://daytonward.wordpress.com/2012/11/21/star-trek-final-frontier-revisited/

People in The Clone Wars were stylized and cartoonish. There's nothing wrong with not liking the look, but people in TCW weren't remotely realistic. Of course, people looked the most realistic when all of their facial features were covered up with armor. That looked fantastic, as per the video. But helmets off, cartoonish AF.

Rebels deviated further by changing the proportions away from the live-action norm, even the armor, which had oversized heads. I was less keen on that.

I would love to see a style similar to the original Jonny Quest, as seen in the opening and end credits. Nice smooth lined retro look (and I'm positive there's no chance in hell of that happening, or even being considered)

I like that style. I'd suggest something similar but modern is the art style of Venture Bros. Kind of the same vein.

The figures are a little too angular sometimes but yeah, Venture Brothers style could work.

Filmation style. I wont be able to to take a Star Trek based animated series seriously if it has a different animation style.

No idea. I just hope I like it - which is, I'm afraid, very unlikely. I'm not a fan of any TV animation.

I won't accept it unless they reuse the same running down the corridor shot in every episode. And everyone must cover their mouths when talking. Lip sync costs money, you know.

Just have all dialogue while they are eating a meal and so they are just being polite by covering their mouths.
