The A is even larger, so this thing is huge...er.

Feh...the Enterprise A in TFF had 78 decks, dwarfing them all - proving that it was the BEST movie ever made with the BIGGEST ship!

mdtauk might be referring to the later version of the symbol (red/silver) vs the simpler TOS version (red/yellow).

Hm I thought the one on the enterprise was Silver.

The Enterprise does use that pennant design in all 3 films, but there are no shots close enough to tell what the colours are other then red.

Yeah from the footage I have seen it looks more or less the same, maybe the dish is slightly bigger due to the added bevelling and the engines are somewhat smaller, they probably gained a lot of efficency from reverse engineering the Vengeance.

The engineering section looks about the same, so does the shuttle bay. We have seen already that the brewery is gone or perhaps more accurately it's been covered over so we no longer see everything like on the Enterprise D.

The more effecient engine can make a big enough warp bubble even though its smaller.
