"Posthuman" - Update on my web series...

Good day to all!

I've been very much out of commission around here for awhile, mainly because I've been so busy with school and, of course, the "Posthuman" series.

I just wanted to let people who might be interested know, after a bunch of set backs, we finally have our entire cast in place and will be shooting Episode III within a month or so.

We also have the first mini episode of a companion series called "Shedding Light" up on the site. It's entitled "Prologue." The purpose of the "Shedding Light" mini episodes will be to fill in some of the back story, technological curiosities and world building of "Posthuman" without getting too expository within the main episodes themselves.

I've also finally laid out the entire plot arc and structure for the entire first season of 12 episodes, have final drafts written all the way up to episode 10, and am working on the final two episodes now. Turns out, these last two episodes will not be confined to the 4-8 minute window we've made for ourselves in the other episodes. The last two are going to be approximately 20 minutes each. So big things are afoot.

Hope you like "Prologue." I'd love to get some thoughts on everything so far from the BBS'ers. Good, bad, constructive or not. I hope to hear from you.

Congrats! I was a bit worried about progress on Episode III since I remember hearing you having some casting issues. I'm glad they have been resolved!

I checked out your mini-episode and I thought it was really good. I couldn't help but wonder how many takes you guys had to do with that flickering light! Haha. I'm sure it was quite a few.

I'm really looking forward to future episodes. Please keep us updated.

The casting issues were a bit worrisome, and the result is a long period of inactivity for the series, but I'm glad we waited, as we got the perfect people to play the roles we were casting. They're really good, and the series will be the better for it.

As for the flickering light...yeah. A lot of takes. I wasn't so set on having it never flicker. If the image went totally dark at times, I was okay with it. It was just a matter of when. The real problem, though, was blowing out a Zippo from a foot away. It's harder than you think. There's quite a few great takes that end with Jason not being able to blow the damn thing out! Haha!

I still need to watch the first episodes. I was suffering from my stye when you first posted these last fall and didn't get around to them then. I will attempt to rectify that this week and give you my thought. I remember being very interested by "Posthuman", it seems right up my alley.
