And now, a few of my boys, Kodi and Ledger (back when we still had snow):

More to come.

Further proof that Labs come in two sizes -- puppy, and chunky.

These little turds kill me.

TREKKIEMONSTER: I wuv dem!!!!!!! It's pictures like yours of the two of them playing that made us look for our second dog (Dora). Seeing two dogs happy together convinced us we needed a second dog. And it was one of the best decisions of our lives! Yours playing tug-o-war is too darn cute!!

They look so innocent here!

Not exactly sure where you think mine fall, but they're 1 1/2 in that picture and they're definitely not chunky. Odd angle in the pic, so might be hard to tall.

It's Rupert's birthday today!! He's 2. I bought him a Mega Wubba as a present.

It's tough to keep them slim. We did 2 stupid things with Rupert. 1 - Kept him on puppy food too long, 2 - followed the instructions for serving sizes on the bag of food.

He got up to 104. Vet told us ideal for him would be low 90s. He was 95.5 last week when I weighed him, so only a few pounds to go.

Based on talking to the vet and trainer, we replaced a part of his kibble with veggies - carrots, string beans, cabbage, etc. He feels full, but is getting fewer calories. The Stop & Shop by us has a spot where they sell 'seconds' on fruits and veggies. Bruised, oddly shaped, and so on. Fine for a dog though.

Happy birthday, Rupert!!! Hope you have a great one! It's a beautiful day for a birthday romp in the park or the woods. :techman:

Our boys LOVE the Wubbas, too.

We've done the veggie thing for our dogs, too. But, unfortunately, they're allergic to flippin' everything. Realized the green beans were what was making their feet itchy. Oy vey!

We're slowly converting them over to another new hypoallergenic food, and if this doesn't work, I'm going to just start making their food, myself. I may be hitting up your S&S for those seconds on fruits and veggies. ;)

Very cute pictures everyone! :)

Here's some jing-jang:

Hey Trekkiemonster, how old are your labs?
Mayra (the black lab) turned seven recently. Pleun (the blonde lab) turns five this year. They're both bitches.

Regarding the food issue, Mayra had epileptic seizures a few years ago. Since then she's on meds and both dogs are too on a veggie diet.

Omnius, your girls are beautiful!!!

Mine are both 21 months (they're littermates). They've still got a lot of puppy energy in them, bless their dirty little noses and gigging little paws.

Zora wishes RUPERT a happy belated birthday!

SMOOTHIE, i take it Helena is home and recouperating?

Omnius, i agree with TREKKIEMONSTER! They are beautiful!

John Picard, here are my lunatics playing. Mind you, if someone was sitting there on the couch they'd play exactly the same way. They have absolutely no regard for personal space!

I bet those two give you hours of entertainment and laughter.

OMG these faces are KILLING ME!

SMOOTHIEX: still waiting to hear on Helena? Her surgery went well i hope?

John Picard, they (ZORA) really do provide lots of laughter. They're so goofy!

It went smoothly. She was kinda lethargic for a day and a half, but by Sunday she was her usual insane self.

I was planning on having something similar to the 'jing-jang' picture above. We said all things being equal, we wanted a yellow one, but then the little black did her thing and we were hooked on her.

Oh, and I know I've posted this before. But I had to again when I saw the dogs in party hats pic.

Lawson isn't mine, but isn't he beautimous? I think he's a motorboat masquerading as a cat - you should hear this man's purr!!!
