That scene in Star Trek: In to Darkness, where Kirk is reviewing the security data on a pad and see Kahn. I’d like that kind of record of my dreams, where i can revisit it, and zoom in every detail to make conscious sense of it. Maybe one day, soon, there’ll be an app for that.
So I'm outside and there are these horses jumping into the air, like really high. It's acrobatic and they have trainers. The trainers keep encouraging them to go higher and higher. I say to hubby that it is wrong as they have slender legs and they could break one. Hubby is worried they will land on their heads. Yeah, I dreamt that
In my last dream I was on a plane with an old friend. We were in the private bistro dining area that I’m sure all commercial airliners have have. We were enjoying our meal, can’t remember what I had, but when the steward realised that we weren’t an item, he start coming on to my friend and helping himself to the wine, which happened to be a 1964 vintage. Bastard. As we approached India I returned to my seat to see the city lights below and photograph anything of note. I considered uploading the best of them to Facebook, but worried that everyone would think that I was shallow. Then I woke up.
First notable dream for a while and as it often is, it was a work dream. I was living in a shared house with my colleagues. They were cross at me for being ill and we got in to a large screaming argument. It was very real.
I had a weird thing happen last night. I half woke up in to a semi awake state and looked at my walls. There seemed to be trains of illuminated goo flowing down them in lines. I thought maybe upstair's bathroom was leaking radioactive waste. Then I woke up properly and realised it was a trick of the light. I was definitely not fully awake, but I can't remember the last time I had a scary Hypnopompic hallucination, although it has happened before. I find I'm quite often able to continue dream imagery on in my semi-conscious mind if I'm Hypnopompic, but in a nice reassuring way where I can lucidly finish off dream adventures, not like this. Think I may be suffering from too much work stress.
I had a dream that I was lost in a giant wheat field with two quarrelsome individuals I have known at totally different points in my life, and they got into a shouting match with each other about what to do next. Kor
I've had a few strange ones lately, though the details were sketchy. One was apocalyptic in nature, with huge aliens invading the planet. They were similar to the flying robotic behemoths seen in the first Avengers movie. Another dream was about my childhood friend, Gracie, who's the mother of my godson in another country. There was this sort of awkwardness between us two, whether the result of a long time lack of communication, or maybe it was sexual tension. IRL, she recently wished me a happy birthday on Facebook, though she didn't do that last year, so I brushed her aside. But in reality, I was only attracted to her for a brief time.
During my long nap yesterday I had a weird one. It was sparked by Tim Conway's death and talk of my Great Aunt's mirror in another thread. I called up Carol Burnett on my old, Vietnam War era mobile field phone (Um...never had one of those!) and wanted to talk. She told me she couldn't right then, so I said, "Okay, Dummy!" like Mayhem (don't remember his character's name) on 30 Rock to Liz Lemon. She changed her mind based on me saying that, so we sat on a couch next to each other (Uh, we were just on the phone!) and started talking about my Great Aunt. There was a whole lot more to that dream like some weird house, but I don't remember any other details.
My dreams have been insane lately. I can't share it all - only a sample. I had a dream that I went to church and the pastor liked to target practice on his congregation. I thought it was bad policy to go to church and dodge bullets. I think I was shot 3 times. I had a dream where several acquaintances separated me from a questionable woman I knew. I was out of her reach but I couldn't resist tracking her down. There may have been a train in my dream. I wish I remember the details - I should have wrote it down when I awoke. I think the woman represents something dangerous that I just can't shake.
I had a dream I was a bounty hunter in a kind of post-civilization, western area. Except I was also part of a tiny minority of powered people, I had Compelling Voice, the ability to sense when I was being lied to, and enhanced durability (weapon-proof skin). I’d just captured my bounty, two teenage girls charged with having murdered their employer. But it turned out this was not the case. They rather had been escaping indentured servitude with a side of sexual assault, and the older one had killed to protect her little sister. So after hearing their story I decided to forego the bounty and escort them North to Haven, a commune-type community in a mountain clearing run by a woman (and powered person) I knew and occasionally ran jobs for, since it was a place they would be accepted and safe. Unfortunately this meant that I’d probably have to be taking on less-compassionate bounty hunters on the way, since bounties were kind of a free-for-all.
Dreamed I had an argument with my mom because she didn’t want to let me use a garbage bag to pick up junk left in her living room by our family. So I said “fine, I’ll pick up my stuff, by you’ll have to call [brother] to pick up his crap. I don’t know where it goes, I’m not touching it.” I almost said that about my dad’s stuff as well, but then (in the dream) I remembered he had died (in real life), and that’s what woke me up.
Last night I dreamed I was in Las Vegas, and I met Cole Sprouse (Riverdale). He took me by the hand and we decided to go "air skating," which basically meant we were floating over the lake in front of the Bellagio Hotel. What fun it was!
I dreamed that I was at some kind of shopping center and while I was checking out some sparse shelves, Joss Whedon came up to look at the same things I was looking at. My right foot started a very painful cramp and I had to lean against a wall to stretch it out. We talked about some crystals for sale and he mentioned the best way to view them. My foot cramped again and I had to stretch it out once again. We were done with the crystals and moving on to the next shelf when my durn foot cramped again. Sooo painful that I woke up and sure enough, my foot was in another cramp. I had to get up to stretch it out and decided to just stay up. No more cramps all day, so far. Kind of a waste of a dream, tho.
Had an all over the place dream but the bit the stood out the most was a thing involving assisted conception, Japanese surrogates, and sky diving. No idea what that was about but the movie of it would be awesome in IMAX. There was also a part where me and the wife had separated, a heating engineer was fixing a heater next to my bed, and me demanding that I get custody of the girls. The dreamwife said ‘we don’t have girls’, and I replied belligerently ‘we’ll whatever they are!’ It was an odd night of broken sleep, signs and portents.
I had a few dreams last night, ranging from odd to disturbing, and possibly brought on by the heat wave in the Bay Area. It included throwing peanuts at Henry Cavill; a group of underprivileged city dwellers who heroically stood up to the bad guys; and a megalodon trapped in a well.
Another strange dream, I could only remember the tail end of it. I was in a pet shop of sorts, marveling at the exotic birds in cages and fish in aquariums. I couldn't make out if some of the birds were actually mammals because they appeared to have paws and were the size of rabbits. There was a nook with different snacks on the shelves, mostly sweet and chocolate-covered. I started munching on them, not realizing some had expired way back in 2014.
