Post Your Dreams Thread

I dreamed I was on holiday in Ireland with parents and my own family. Weirdly, we had two extra children, both girls, that I barely knew because I’d been so busy with work that I’d missed most of their early years and had even forgotten their names.

The dream also involved me having to get changed in public because the pool changing rooms were too busy, and my dad having a pint waiting for me on the bar when I came out. That bit was nice.
 
I dreamed that I was in the classic Star Trek episode "The Cage." Not too exciting, though, as I was just in the underground zoo area.

Then my alarm went off and I woke up momentarily. Then I dozed off again and dreamed that I was walking down the street in a really sunny urban area, perhaps in California. A guy was perched on a big garbage can running some con similar to a shell game. I figured if he wanted money so badly, he should be happy get anything at all. So I reached into my pocket and grabbed a handful of loose change and threw it at him while laughing my head off. Some of the coins ended up in the garbage can, and the guy went fishing through the trash for them. Passersby gave me dirty looks.

I have two semi recurring dreams

One is a variation of walking around in public with no clothes on, yet no one seems fussed, it's a weird feeling.

Another is that I've acquired a big house, with loads of furnished rooms, each corridor leads to another room, every door opened leads to another, there's no malice or dread in it but its very strange.

I've also dreamt that I've had extra, unknown or faceless children, although I know they are mine (in the dream)

Living in a big unfamiliar house is one of my recurring dreams as well. I live with relatives in real life, so even in my dreams, I'm never alone. There are several bathrooms in the house, and sometimes they have huge windows with no curtains or drapes, which really make me anxious to use them.
 
O M G I had the weirdest fucking dream last night.

I was walking around town in the evening and missed my bus home but went to a fast food place to buy something, then walked some more, then this big metalic blue SUV pulls up and a woman sticks her head out the door "are you lost?, could I give you a ride" which is totally not something that would happen to me in any universe.

Anyway I hopped in her car and we drove off I told her where I lived and she suggested a little detour and we ended up at her home which was large and spacious, and OMG her whole family was there and she invited me in for evening tea and snacks and since everyone was still awake there was talking, and she led me into her kitchen where we sat down then she fed me some food, we talked some more and then I had forgotten about going home and such, then I spend the night there with her. In the morning though it's bedlam as the family is like a circus, all but literally with people jumping around on furniture and doing cartwheels around the house, and it's a double storey house.

Turns out they are from a circus and it was totally bonkers there but I couldn't not smile and this was batshit bonkers people but I felt like I was comfortable and at home. She then drove me home and we kissed passionately and then she left but left her number and said to call any time, anywhere. And then my day returned to normal boringness and I woke up. But what a dream?

Sounds better than any of the dreams I've had lately (when I can get some sleep).

Oh god it was batshit bonkers...... The lady was a little taller then me long dark, dark red hair curvy figure, not fat, but not skinny and yeah well she was to die for.

But I have some dreams that have constants that always appear one where I spent several months with this redhead, and it literally did feel like months had passed in the dream, I woke up feeling upset and unsettled.
 
I dreamed that I went to take pictures of some scenery in an open area behind a shopping mall. Apparently a branch of my family had a homestead there in the past. I also gave a little help to an emergency crew while I was there.

Later I found out that the mall's overly stringent surveillance system had flagged me as a car prowler when I was walking through the parking lot. I was quite indignant about this, and I tracked down the head of mall security to straighten things out. I explained that I was just taking pictures for some historical research. The emergency crew was with him and they vouched for me.

That's a really cool dream.


I had another with my mysterious redhead last night and she had a new car, the last time I dreamed she had a red sports car, nothing fancy just some generic 70s thing with a loud engine. This one was more modern and she grabbed me by the hand and had me sit in the passenger seat next thing we are flying down the road to parts unknown, and the road was out, and we literally flew across the gap, and landed on the other side like in the movie Speed. We then found a nice picnic spot and made out. She kept asking if I wanted babies.
 
Has anyone ever had dreams where they couldn't walk or run, or had to crawl along the ground ?
Very, very disconcerting.
 
I've had those hypnogogic things, where I am half awake--and my limbs feel made of lead.

I thought I heard wings flapping in one corner.

But I remembered that I had to be at work--and looked at the clock. Then--in what to me was superhuman effort--I slowly wrapped myself up, turned away from the sound--and thought out loud "I don't have time for this."

I have this idea in my head that whatever supernatural being that could have been there--wound up looking very disappointed ;)

I've often wondered what I would say to something in a horror dream, about to shed my sinself.

"Ah, body horror...you are disjointed--that works. You can only kill me once--then what? Then I'll be a spirit--the same as you. You who are on the other side--you shouldn't be corrupted--you should be perfected...the mysteries of the universe are open to you. Why give in to such petty earth-bound emotions such as fear-generation and revenge?"

The best I can come up with for an answer would be for such an entity to halt in it's tracks, look downward a bit--then look up and say--as it was breaking my neck---

Last night, I had three distinct dreams.

The first one, the whole universe was collapsing and everything was in free fall. The planet was crumbling and I was leaping from one chunk of rock to another looking for some kind of refuge.

Then I dreamed about work and encountered a mix of resentment and respect, but in the end I had to walk out. I headed to the city centre to get a bus home but there were loads of obstacles, like a runaway tramcar causes commotion, a crowd gathered to watch an eclipse, long queues at the bus station. Eventually I managed to catch a bus home, but it seemed to take forever.

The third one, way too weird to post, but the words extramarital and dentata come to mind.

Re your second dream, I have similar dreams which I call "frustration" dreams.
In these dreams I'm going to a place or a destination that I really want to go to, but obstacle after obstacle appears in the dream to delay me getting there.
I'll wake up, then close my eyes and try to reboot the dream in order to finally get where I want to go, but it never works.
 
OK odd one I was tied to a bamboo bed and was near the top of a large cliff and then was pushed and slid along the ground till I fell off the cliff and was tumbling like forever, and ever, then I felt nothing and a warm gooey sensation on my face which I had assumed was blood and then I passed out. Next thing I woke up with the left side of my head all borgified and this woman with long black hair like a witch looking down at me with a evil grin....
