Don't get why there's so much EU negativity. Is there some kind of unwritten rule that only Lucas can write Star Wars?
Might as well consider all non-GR Star Trek non-canon then
I still have large gaps in my EU reading but it's not all been horrendous. I've found some EU books/series to be better than others but that's pretty much true with ANY series.
