I ordered the German Amazon Bluray edition.
It comes with an Enterprise replica. The Saucer will house the actual discs!
Planned delivery is on November, 04th.
It'll cost me 32,29€

We have yet to upgrade to HDTV/BR but I cannot think of a better time to do so. However, recent necessary car repair, and their subsequent exorbitant cost, will most likely put finally getting the upgrade off until next year. :-(

I may not get any version now and wait until we have a HDTV/BR system. How will I get my Star Trek fix in the meanwhile? Don't worry, got that covered.

Well since I do no currently own a blu-ray player and do not plan to buy one in the near future I will be getting the 2 disc DVD.

I will not be buying it in either format, no. Though I'm mildly curious about the behind-the-scenes features, it's not worth it.

If it weren't for the fact that my work requires me to have a BD-burner, I wouldn't even be close to thinking about getting Blu Ray. But lucky me, I'll be buying Trek on Blu.

I don't do blue-ray (took me years to accept DVD) but I already ave the two disc DVD on pre-order with a free copy of Countdown.

Expect fapping.

I am getting the blu-ray for sure! My wife already knows that there is no stopping me with this one. But, I am also going to buy a copy (maybe used down the road) of the DVD for my portable DVD player.

If the timeline is altered, some of us might end up buying the Betamax, VHS or laserdisc versions of the movie.:shifty:

Yes, but the laserdisc will be much more advanced than in the original timeline and feature 1701p resolution. Unfortunately, when you take it out of the packaging a flare of light, bouncing off the disc, will blind you.

And then any customer complaints you make to Paramount will get sent up the chain of command to Washington, D.C. and our Supreme Soviet Overlord and Territorial Administrator. Then you end up in the Sheboygan Gulag mining cheese.
