Please, teach me how to.....

I'm not sure if Miss Chicken is ready for the "Hey there" method. ;)

I've been here for about 7 months and I've accumulated over 2200 posts. Damn, I need a life.

You'd think so, but somehow Shameless has managed to get away with it for years. Maybe the mods realize it's all part of his unique brand of charm.

You need to spice it up a bit. You need to get to the point where you can spam and the mods aren't sure it's spam at all. A gentle touch. ;)

I found it easier to spam when we had the weekly "Top 50 Posters of the Week" thread. Though I believe I only made the Top 50 twice - with about 150 posts each time, and getting 150 posts was hard work - I had something to aim for.

Change your name! It worked for me. Two years ago when I was still posting under some lame generic Name1234 alias, I had maybe 1,000 (maybe 2,000; probably somewhere in between) posts after three years, and then I changed to my current alias in January of '07 and, voila, my post count's grown to over 8,600--which still isn't a lot, but I figure 6,000-7,000 posts in two years ain't bad.

Okay, I suppose changing your name wouldn't really be necessary since you've already got a cool and unique one. But for some reason it made me a lot more interested in posting.

Actually I did change my name. For the first four months of this board I was known as Sheliak and I was barely noticed. Then I changed my name to Miss Chicken and people recognised me more.

Once I changed my avatar to a version of the current one I became even more noticeable.

See, the exact same thing happened to me. I guess it's because we both found something to make ourselves stand out.

I do vaguely recall a Sheliak...had no idea that was you, though! :o

EDIT: Hold on a tick. The first four months of this board? Nevermind, I wasn't here back then. My memory banks must be corrupted or something.

Please don't become a spammer! There are far too many of them on this board, and I enjoy your posts and topics just the way they are, with content.

There has been one other Sheliak and also a Sheliak5 but both of these poster joined a long time after me and after my Sheliak identity had been purged.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm here since 2002 and I have a bit over 6,000 posts... :D

EDIT: Oh, and a considerable number of them were made for moderating reasons some years ago, so they shouldn't even count!

post in the photos thread. post lots of cat photos and hit on every guy. and post in the avatar threads a lot, commenting on which you like and which you voted for.

I forgot to mention. Circular arguments with one or two TNZ posters will rack up a nice total pretty quickly.

If you were Trekked out years ago, why would you care what rank you achieve here? In fact, why would you spend much time here at all?

Personally, I stop by when I feel like it, don't when I don't; I post when I have something to say, don't when I don't. And don't give a d*mn what rank I have.
