Those phasers are awesome. The TOS version is legit. The E-D Innerspace was awesome even if the proportions were rediclious.

I remember having the 25th anniversary re-release of the 1701 Bridge and Galileo shuttlecraft from AMT Models. I built them up, then took a bunch of Lego men and painted them to look like the crew and played like that.

I used to make ships. I had three or more threads with my ships (only found two). One was a large alien vessel.

None of the photos are showing, so I guess that not just on my end, that they're gone. I added the links because I am going to try later to see if I saved those pictures and fix my posts. Took me over half an hour just to find those!

Those are great. I made TMP phaser and tricorder props in middleschool woodshop. You had to fill out a worksheet with what and how you were doing something to justify anything you made, so I think i told the shop teacher that they were "paperweights, lol.

I considered getting another Data figure from Playmates and paint it in three shades of purple (hair, skin uniform, department color). But Revell doesn’t do purple — one‘s gotta mix it. I shall practice model building more next year and see if I can tackle the idea.

I've had some success with sharpies, which I guess are the same as Stabilos or Eddings. The existing color can be a problem, but his skin is white anyway. Brown on red worked, dark blue on light blue worked, green on red worked, purple on gold worked, but brown on blue did not :D

I recommend getting acrylic markers like POSCA or MOLOTOW. They come in a variety of colors and their whole selling point is that they’ll hold on (almost) every kind of surface. Sharpies are alcohol based markers and are just not ideal for painting on plastic. At least in my experience with art supplies. :)

I am very envious of your flea market!

Awesome finds. It's funny, the vast majority of Trek purchases I have made have been through flea markets / yard sales - including my first run through with TNG era playmates in the 90s/2000s. That's how I acquired the TNG Bridge, Engineering, Transporter, and shuttlecraft Goddard, to say nothing of DS9 Runabout, Defiant, DS9, Voyager, Insurrection Ent-E, and other ships/figures/playsets. The only two Trek starships I have been available to purchase in a department store was the Insurrection Enterprise E (Walmart) and the reissue of the TOS Enterprise by playmates (Target). There is a weekly flea market in my area that currently has a whole range of playmates ships, including the Defiant, Enterprise B, and a DST TOS Enterprise for sale.

In more recent years, I've found a lot of that new but vintage old stock of Trek Swag at flea markets. Brands including Playmates, DST, Hallmark, Hawthorne Collection, Art Asylum, Micro Machines - a lot unopened and in mint condition. This same flea market also has a TNG era phaser rifle (cobra head style) for sale. Not sure if it's screen used or a reproduction kit that was painted (Vendor has it hanging in his booth), but he is asking $150ish and I suspect it is the latter over the former. In any event, it looks legit and I am tempted to buy.

Many decades ago, I remember seeing a flea market vendor selling a TOS medical or sciences tunic. I think it was short sleeve but I vividly remember seeing the arrowhead delta with a basketball looking center, so maybe it was sciences and long sleeve? I believe that was screen used but not sure if it was a principle actor or a background extra. I always suspected the vendor was maybe a background actor on the show? We have had a few of those in my area, including Lost in Space's Mark Goddard, so there is precedent for such a thing. Flea markets are treasure troves for Trek merchandise it seems.

Anywho, back to your regularly scheduled playmates chat.

How much are they asking there? And which state/city? :D
It's a large indoor flea market in southeastern Massachusetts thats open every Sunday. IIRC, the guy was asking $25 each I think for the Defiant and Enterprise B (Defiant was missing display stand, but new in box with sticker sheet, stickers never applied) and $50ish for the DST TOS Enterprise. His booth has been there every week for years as far as I can tell/remember. They were all still there when I popped in before Christmas.

I picked up almost the entire voyager line of figures there new and unopened for $5 each a few years back. Some of the vendors ask higher end prices, but most are reasonable and/or willing to haggle/make a deal.

I think I posted old photos of the stuff I obtained a few years back most of it from this flea market. Let me dig through and see if I can find them
