I was looking at the Admiral Kirk figure at Target and was cracking up that the figure had a Shatner-accurate dad-bod instead of a more generic torso.
It's especially noticeable when next to the extremely fit, trim Spock figure...

They should’ve been on sale for Christmas 2022. TPTB want to make money and become part of the kids’ world. They have failed. It'll be seventy-five years before the Prodigy stuff makes it to this Quadrant and home.
Cool. I don't usually preorder but I might on this. My local stores took forever and just have Kirk, Spock and Khan.FWIW the Prodigy figures are available to order on Amazon. Delivery isn’t until mid/late May though.
Yeah, I noticed that change when Jurassic Park III came out and suddenly the figures were smaller than the 90s ones. The 90s figures were 4.5”, similar to the new line. They’ve never matched 3.75” lines.
Scales sucked in the 90s. Star Wars and GI JOE were one, Stargate another, Star Trek another.Oh, so they’re 5-inch figures, that doesn’t go with the 3,75 inch scale used by Mattel for Jurassic World. The old Playmates and Kenner figures matched in range, my Tuvok had many an adventure on Isla Nublar.
I think the only one upcoming (at least, announced so far) is Protostar.Anybody know when we are going to get some darn ships. Now would be a great time for a 1701-D re-release.
And that's a real shame. I like the Protostar, but it would be nice to have some legacy Trek re-releases and newer ships from the streaming shows.I think the only one upcoming (at least, announced so far) is Protostar.
I imagine economics are making them a bit skittish.Anybody know when we are going to get some darn ships. Now would be a great time for a 1701-D re-release.
