Play an Instrument?

I play guitar, though not particularly well. I wish I had picked it up when I was younger.

I played the piano for many years. Mostly classical music. I stopped for a couple reasons, the main one being carpel tunnel syndrome. I still miss it.

Have dabbled a bit with guitar and autoharp.

I sing, and I also play the ukulele, trumpet, harmonica, drums, piano (poorly), guitar (poorly), and I once played a tuba, though I could barely reach it. That was in high school.

I am waiting for an email with my Sunday set list to come in now. I play bass and still dabble with guitar and the single reeds and flute.

I can still play piano.

I used to play trombone when I was in high school though I haven't played one in years and I doubt I could ever muster it again - my lips just don't measure up. :sigh:

I took piano lessons starting at age 6 until I was about 14, then just lost interest. I can't even remember how to read music.

I do sing fairly well, though -- well, I can carry a tune. In or out of the shower. :)

I can't even remember how to read music.

Really? I was worried about my ability to read music after not looking at any for a good 8 years, but I found that it instantly came back to me, and my fingers just knew where to go. Have you tried recently? -- and I don't mean that as a sarky question, just curious.

It's been over a decade since I last looked at a musical staff in anger. I used to know the arrangements of key signatures and repeats and even the differences between treble, alto, tenor and bass clefs like the back of my hand. It does come back to me, though - not just the technical knowledge of music theory, but all those associated memories of music lessons, exercises, orchestra rehearsals, the music we used to play and the teachers, conductors, chorus masters and fellow players I used to play with. Music memory is a powerful thing.

Bass, keyboards and drums, but haven't played in a band since I reluctantly became a grown-up :).

Shared a house with a music student cellist at college, and used to love listening to her practice while studying. Very sonorous, especially Saint-Saens and Elgar.
