Planet of the Titans U.S.S. Enterprise

The Miranda type looks more like a late model Excelsior based ship, with the exception of the nacelles. Not that it's a bad thing. I'd say that one just seems to fit more along the those lines.

The fighter is neat, and I like that you didn't make it look like something derived from earth's contemporary aircraft.

The shuttle. It's neat, but I'd give it a non-earth design history. But hell man, that's one mother of an impulse engine! Fast as hell looking!!!

Oh- and the Titan Enterprise is simply fantastic. Well done!

Thanks for comments guys! Couple of minor updates to the Enterprise. Rebuilt the impulse engines and added some more bits to the back end on either side of the shuttle bay. As for the Avenger, added some more structure to the underside to hold a deflector dish, also reworked the lower sensor dome so it wouldn't be in the way of the dish. Added a deflection grid to the upper side of the hull which I'll carry over to the Enterprise. Also built up the bridge structure a little more so that it wasn't buried by the hull. More updates soon!

The Titan Enterprise is one of the best updates to a starship design I've seen! I always thought they were too quick and timid in re-designing the STTMP ENT.

The Titan's 1701 is simply WOW! I really like the hangar deck and the engines. I just noticed that if you added a generous filet to the neck under the saucer and at the point where the neck joins the secondary hull, you would have a real "D" like design. Only much more stream lined. This thing is sweet! Good stuff!

If we'd gotten a good reboot out of ST09 and a truly fresh take this design is light years ahead of JJ's Fuglyprise.

Agreed.

Are you serious?

And let me reiterate, I love this ship and especially what LordSarvain has done with it, but I don't see that it could be the same ship as TOS-1701.
No amount of treknobabble would have made me believe this was anything other than a brand new ship (unless that was their plan, I never read the POTT script or the novel)

I mean, we got major hate for the JJprise even though it was an alternate universe ship. If there was an internet in 1979 and this concept showed up on screen,
even as beautiful as it is here, it would have been one huge WTF-fest.

 Hello??? We're talking about a clean and honest reboot with zero ties to previous continuity. In that light you could make the ship look like anything you want.

The design JJ Abrams brought to the big screen was just aesthetically displeasing (I'm being nice here). It took a design that was suppose to be utilitarian and tried to put an artsy spin on it... and it didn't work.

Got to be honest, the design and modeling above are light years ahead of the Abramsverse version.

LordSarvain, the above modeling of your Enterprise is excellent. I would love to see it in a Star Trek movie.

JJAbrams 1701 design(along with the engineering brewery set) is his passive-agressive way of giving the old fans the finger.:barf:
