Looks like you decreased the deflector´s size. Of course, it´s your decison at last, but I think the previous one fits better than the actual

There must've quite a few things that you decided that weren't good enough for you to decide to start completely over rather than completing her as she was.

Sometimes, imperfections can drive an artist even more crazy than the prospect of having to start completely over. This must have been one of those cases.

And to think that she looked fantastic the last time! This time, she'll probably end up looking crazy fantastically good!

This is my first time seeing this thread and all I can say is... WOW!

One thing I really like about your first version was the Shuttle bay as seen here and here.

I like the style, the dark grey walls and the many rows of lights in the ceiling. Do you plan to go that same route with your new version?

Oh man that looks good. Like the way the piping on the nacelles is more appropriately scaled now and the understated impulse engines on the wings, which really fits into the graceful lines you've developed.. Wouldn't mind seeing that understated refinement on the saucer engines as well. Maybe half the orange?

I wonder... if that version of the Enterprise had made it to the screen, would they have explained it in-universe as a refit and "almost totally new Enterprise" the way they did in TMP?

Nope, well the model was mine, but someone else has gone and had some fun with it. Some company in the Philippines was using the same pic to sell wooden versions of the model, hope no one bought any lol.

This view reminded me of the XB-70 Valkyrie bomber from the late 1960s.
