PICTURE POST II!

Had to share this. This is from a friends FB feed. See how well time my musings timed with the randomness of his feed  (Yeah, I'm the guy at the top in case you didn't know)

I've been away from this thread for too long. Love the photos, everyone. :)

This is our 6-month-old Shetland Sheepdog puppy, Max, getting a cuddle from my daughter.

Awwwwww. :)

That was to macloudt's photo above and to the image of George Takei dancing in a kilt.

I think Max is close to being fully grown. He looks bigger than he is in that photo, I think, because he's definitely not big for a Sheltie.

Awww doggy!

Well, I made another song cover music video and here are some stills. A few come from takes I didn't use, but they made neat pictures! The song I covered was Nightwish's "White Night Fantasy." Here's the vid if you wanna see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oI8posPrcc

Just a side note: I jumped off a chair and ran around wearing four and a half inch platform heels. I felt pretty badass.

Was shopping at Macys today for luggage and stumbled upon this.

^Whoa, come on, let's get through Halloween first! Geez! I saw Xmas trees at the mall while with my mom today. REALLY?!

I swear, if people want Christmas to come faster, they need to find a TARDIS. Now THOSE will be Christmas trees! (And snowmen, too!)

I don't want those snowmen...

Sheesh, even Michaels and Hobby Lobby don't have their Christmas trees out yet!

Extreme cake baking: This is the cake I baked for my dad's birthday.

Recipe here: Peppermint layered cheescake.

Here's a selfy I took on Saturday while watching the Steuben Parade with my daughter. She had a great time waving to everyone.

And this is my boy Gimli hiding behind the curtains.

Walk into a Big Lots store in July or August. Many of them already have Halloween and Christmas stuff stocked on the shelves.

****Christmas tree pic snipped****

A friend of mine went into a Hobby Lobby in late July / early August, and they had their Christmas stuff out already. I was thinking it may have been one of those "Christmas in July" type sales, but no, the stuff was out permanently until Christmas!

Does anyone remember when stores would actually decorate and sell stuff for Thanksgiving? :sigh:

The store where I work doesn't have Christmas stuff out yet, but will soon enough. We were slammed last week because the university kids had descended upon the city and were buying bedding, kitchenware, electronics, and the like. Good for business, but it felt like the week before Christmas. This week's been calmer, thankfully.

Back in April I visited my dad just west of Toronto with my two sons. A friend of mine has her private pilot's licence, but she's been grounded for health reasons. However, she'd very kindly arranged for a flight instructor friend of hers to take my boys and me for a flight from Buttonville Airport, just north of Toronto. This photo is from when we literally circuited around the CN Tower. Normally I'm fine with flying, but four-seater planes set off my height nerve and vertigo and scare the crap out of me. There's no better way of getting a view of the city, though, and my boys loved it.

oh wow, that's really early for Christmas...
Here, we don't put up the Christmas decorations until 6th December due to a Dutch fest for children that is celebrated from half November until December 5th.

@theseeker: your daughter is very cute!

My daughter at a Tang Soo Do tournament this past weekend. She's small, but she's feisty! :D
