PICTURE POST II!

So...do you use a standard tomato sauce with tuna or is there something else more complimentary? <she asks in puzzlement...still having a hard time getting her own head around tuna on a pizza>

Seafood pizza is often an option, depending upon your locale. Sometimes it's done with a white sauce, but also red. But it can be a variety of things like just one type of seafood (e.g. shrimp), or a medley of several kinds (I once had a clam/mussel/squid/fish version). I had heard of tuna pizza before, but have never had it. It's a tricky thing, as it really needs to be good tuna (cheap canned is the worst). Think of "tuna casserole" where the tuna is heated... and then you can believe in a pizza topped with it. ;)

Pineapple is AWESOME on pizza. END OF DISCUSSION!
But it really has to have the ham along with it too... Hawaiian style! :techman:

Went to the store this morning and as I was leaving, came to the intersection where I had the green but I was stopped by some jaywalkers.

^OMG, I love the geese!

<Mallory> At least it wasn't pineapple! </Mallory>

:)

Oh I like it too, I just remember Mallory's hatred of it. :)

No, no, no. No pineapple, no ham. I never had the pleasure of knowing Mallory, but he was clearly a wise man.

Now clam/mussel/squid/fish pizza sounds heavenly...

Cool. Must be quite a safe place nearby for those goslings despite the parking lot traffic. Not that many goslings usually survive to that size.

That's a lot of babies, even if we are actually looking at two mother geese with their babies at that age.

Sorry- I'm an animal dork

We threw my mom a surprise birthday party this past weekend. I'm not posting pics of people for privacy reasons, but here are a few random pics of decorations!

Aww, that's really nice of you guys. And the party looks like it was amazing! Did she (your mom) enjoy herself? Was she surprised? (My mom always manages to ferret out the truth before a surprise party - we have yet to surprise her after all these years!)

She was so surprised! Our birthdays are really close together (hers is the 12th and mine is the 16th) and this year I'm turning 30 and she's turning 60. We didn't advertise her age! But she thought my sister, brother-in-law, and I were coming home to celebrate my 30th in Chicago with friends (which we did), and then getting together at my aunt and uncle's house the next day to celebrate my birthday with family.

Everything came together so well. We had even snuck out several of her nicer Indian outfits and some jewelry so she had a choice of what to change into at the party. I think she was so focused on celebrating my birthday that she never thought we'd do something like this for her.

It's great to do something for your mom, because moms are usually behind the scenes doing things for everyone else. :)

That's great Kestra.

My Dad and brother's birthdays are next to mine in March so I know what its like to celebrate community birthdays. It's awesome when you can focus on one person with a big event.

What a great idea! That's one heck of a nice spread.

Wait...you're turning 30?? You whipppersnapper, you. I barely remember 30.
