Saw this at lunch yesterday at the country club I was at. A momma bear sleeping in a pine tree. What you can't see is the cub under her and the other one about 6 feet away.
And my all-time favorite picture of him:

My boyfriend's type I. He's not very good about it from what I've seen. I don't know how much I should nag, though; it's not like he doesn't know what he's supposed to do.On the positive side at least there is more that can be done (in most cases, though not all) to prevent or at least delay the onset of type 2. Type 1 is a whole other ballgame!Type 2 runs in my family--my mom, dad, three of four older sisters, and most recently, my older brother.
(Emphasis mine)You can pick them before the frost and infuse the fresh berries in water over night and then change the water before cooking them into a jam or jelly. This will remove much of the bitter taste (but also some of the vitamins).Sorbus aucuparia!
(Rønnebær)
These berries are also good as a chutney (goes well with venison) in which case you throw away the water after boiling them.
In Bavarian they are called Vogelbeeren = bird berries
LOVE this! Does the pattern come in different sizes? And who's the lucky redshirt?
Thanks!
the pattern is a pretty basic saddle shoulder v neck. I'm lazy and didi it in the round as a raglan sleeve. Love those, you just get to stop increases when it fits. I'm not sure who a raglan knit in the round couldn't work for!
a better closeup
