PICTURE POST II!

Below: My youngest playing with my Micromachines while watching The Empire Strikes Back.
Funny thing is, he was wanting to watch something like Mickey and the Beanstalk and then changed his mind, so I asked him if he wanted to watch Star Wars. Not sure what made me ask him that since he'd never watched anything non-animated before. When I asked him, he got this look on his face like a revelation had just hit him, and very slowly said "...Yeah!" I let him pick which of the 6 movies to watch, and he pulled ESB out!

BTW, I posted this on Facebook too, and several women I knew in high school were posting "awesome", "love it", etc. comments. Except I never knew any of these women to be into scifi at the time! Did they change their minds over time, or are they like myself and most other 38 year olds and don't care what people think anymore?

Alienesse, do you happen to know what the flower in your last pic is called? I know the other ones (Hortensias/Hydrangeas and a Dahlia) but have never seen one like that last one before.

^Thank you! :D

Yes, the last flower is a thistle. The plant itself is not very friendly-looking (it's covered in thorns and prickles), but I've always found the flower to be beautiful. It grows all over Romania.

And now for some lovely creatures from the insect world:

^ I didn't go in and eat, although it seems like a nice place. Apparently tsq herself has never been there because I informed her about this place and she said she never goes to Times Square. Given that the area's such a crowded tourist trap, I can't say I blame her.

It is crowded and trappy, but my family had fun there anyway a few weeks back. Can't believe how Disneyland like it is compared to the late 80's when I was there for business.

Terrific flower shots, Alienesse. That last one of the thistle looks quite alien, with an ironic hint of Mickey Mouse behind it. ;)
Thank you, Gary7! You're right, it does look like it has little Mickey Mouse ears. I hadn't noticed that.

It really has gone downhill since then. You can't even find a decent hooker there these days.
