PICTURE POST II!

Iris likes to sit in her own recliner, just like her daddy:

Bloomingdale's has a pretty cool Star Wars display setup in their windows. I hurriedly took a few photos with my iPhone on my way to work.

I like the new female-shaped protocol droid. The new film seems to have a good variety of droid shapes and designs with some pretty eye-catching and exotic looks for the heads and bodies.

Went and hunted down our Christmas tree today. Found a place that lets you cut down your own and had Blue Spruce. I've always wanted to have a Blue Spruce Christmas tree.

Ian and Aaron found the tree, it was literally the first tree we saw.

Put my tree up today. It's really the only Christmas tradition that matters to me these days:

What a week!

I spent a couple of days helping my friend, the artist, gettin his yule exhibits ready and setting up the exhibition at a yule-festival in an old converted cow-shed.

Here he is, setting up a catcher of sorts:

Still setting up:

(Imgur wouldnt let me resize this one
There's a sideways view of that painting-thingy below

His main exhibit, a things-found-on-the-local-beaches advent-wreath:

He wasn't really interrested in selling any of his stuff; made most of it for himself -and set prices accordingly (artists  ).

Another of his very personal items:

(trunk of ivy, garland w. spruce, mosses, cones...
It's a hanging alternative to the German invention of a standing christmass-tree.)

(The Countess, owner of the place, liked his stuff so much that he was asked to decorate a nearby table.)

If selling stuff had been his objective, he could have sold thousands of these mossy angels:

I thought I had the day off, but alas I have to go help him pack it all up again in a couple of hours... Oh well, he pays well -even if I'm just helping out a friend- but that is not PG 13-friendly :p

^Wow. That's impressive work!

I've been decorating for Christmas. I'm not done yet. I did something terrible today- I broke an ornament that had been in the family for 45+ years:

It was part of this set:

Mom and Dad bought it at the Garber department store (they're long gone!) in Staten Island a year before I was born. It's survived five moves in four states, and I broke it. :(
