PICTURE POST II!

Now that's an old 7 Up machine. Haven't seen one like that in ages.

Yeah, that town hasn't been touched by time. It's way out in the middle of nowhere, just a holler, no actual city. The best part is how quiet it is.

That's a really great set, J.! And this one, in particular, I love. There's just something about the "everyday" look of it that you've really managed to capture. Nicely done!

Thanks, AM. I love old things, I love things that seem frozen in time.

And congrats on the weight loss. I've been on something of a diet/workout program myself for the past month and it sure as heck ain't easy (especially when your family takes you out for dinner for your birthday and the fries they order smell so damned good! :p).

Thanks! It's been rough going, but I keep working at it. My goal is 180 lbs. It seems so close!

Keep going! I've no doubt that if you maintain your conviction, you'll get there. Changing your lifestyle to one of losing weight and being healthy is the biggest challenge. Once you do that, you'll keep going in the right direction, even if, at times, it seems like it's not happening fast enough. Heck, just deciding to be more healthy, and sticking with it, is its own reward. I have every confidence that you can reach your goal, J.!

You can splurge.... :p

Thanks, but that's precisely what I said to myself ... before I gained a tad more than 10lbs in less than a year. :p
As long as you keep it to just a taste. It's not so bad. ;)

Yay! Go J go! :D

Aw, thanks, you two!

*hugs*

Once I lose all of that weight, I'm just going to start randomly going around shirtless. Yeah, my pale skin will blind others but, then again, others will be able to read their precious books, even at night.

That's very cool that your kids enjoy that sort of pastime and activity. In this modern age of video games, personal electronic devices and a million other distractions it's always refreshing to see children getting into and loving the simpler things in life and nature.

We really try to balance everything with them. We let them watch TV but it's limited. They have to earn the right to use their iPads or play Wii. They play with Legos and Play-Doh and the like as much or more then TV. Family time is treasured, so we like to do as much outdoors things as we can.
