A friend brought this home after a week in the country:

Ooh, Erasure! I'm envious. :)

JayOwl, love your pics. The Penwith area is my favourite place in the UK. We always stay in St. Just when we're down there. You can never tire of that incredible scenery.

Absolutely- it's a beautiful area. I hadn't been there for a long time (aside from one visit to St Ives earlier this year) and I don't think I'd ever been right to Land's End. I'm living near Truro now, barely 40 minutes away so I'll probably be back there before long. I saw several signs for St. Just, I think we might have driven through it actually. It was a great day, one of my friends drove us in this amazing car:

The Morris in the middle.

Are they still mad at Depeche Mode?

I wasn't aware that there was a feud. Do tell!

Vince Clarke (the keyboard player for Erasure) was originally with Depeche Mode. He left them very early on, though - I think the last song he recorded with them was "Just Can't Get Enough." He went on to form Yazoo with Allison Moyet before forming Erasure with Andy Bell. That was 30 years ago, though (yikes ), and my understanding is that Vince opted to leave the group - he wasn't kicked out or anything like that.

Vince Clarke was the founding member of Depeche Mode, in fact he wrote Cant Get Enough. After he left, he formed Erasure and there has been a mild feud between the bands. In a Erasure video, sorry can't remember for which song. They spray painted across the large loud speaker, which at the time was the symbol for Depeche Mode. I was totally being tongue in cheek, Depeche Mode actually recorded a song with Erasure. Being from the 80's, I loved the back and forth between the two bands.

Ok, here is the whole case.

Bottom Row - Frog Legs, Next Row up - Burmese Python, Next Row Up - Alligator, Next Row Up - Squid & Seafood Mix.

I could go for some gator meat and not even question the decision. Frog....eh. I'll pass, thanks.

Frog is good. The only thing new to me there is the python but I'd certainly give it a try. Hey, I notice the squid rings are on sale. Who's down for some calamari and some spicy aioli?
